Questions & Answers
This is the entire professional set from the attic.
I've never weighed it, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's about a pound. a maximum of 5 pounds
I'd say it's around 20 feet. The cable, on the other hand, binds and becomes stuck on a fairly regular basis. When something works, it's fantastic.

Contractor in the HVAC field. The attic furnace installation went so smoothly with this hoist/lift that I was blown away. There is no lifting required because one man cranks the lever and another man guides the equipment into the attic. Hoist adjusts to different rafter widths and has enough cable to lift a furnace from the ground into the attic. I continue to charge for a third man even though I only use two, resulting in increased profits for the company. Added security by using the provided screws to secure the hoist to the 2X4s. For HVAC installation technicians, this is a no-brainer.
I put it in the attic above my access panel/door and ladder, and it works great for lifting large items up there.
I work as a technician for the heating and air conditioning industry. br>In the video, it sounds and appears to be exactly what we require to assist us. However, in reality, it is far too small to accommodate two 2x4s. It was a waste of money because they should have made it adjustable. br>.
The tiny 3/16" wood screws that are used to secure the unit were the source of concern. They appear to be quite modest in size. If the house has Attic Trust, I learned not to use horizontal 2x4s because they don't have shear strength because they're only supported at the ends by nail plates. The topmost joints that run at an angle and make up the roof support where the roof tiles or shingles are laid would be strong enough, but they could be too high or too sloped, as in my case. I made a support frame out of 2x6's to support the attic access opening, and it worked great. br>Be careful not to let the hand crank spin free. It needs to be handled and managed on a regular basis. The two straps also helped to keep the equipment in balance. Because of the simplicity of its hold mechanism, it was simple to center the weight of the equipment that was being lowered and lifted.
It's been a complete success! I am pleased with my purchase because it is well-made.
Must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must have, must It's the proper method for transporting equipment into and out of the attic. Your back will thank you, especially if you use heavy furnaces. br> It was well worth the money.
Excellent product; I will reorder if necessary.
These are a hit with my boys! They get their backs saved!.
