I bought this product so I wouldn't have to remove the entire spindle on a 2002 Honda Odyssey. The hub was not removed as a result of this. On top of that, I have a three-year-old son. When you tightened it down, the point stud adapter spread out and didn't completely pull onto the studs without bending them out. Because I couldn't remove the hub, I had to do the next best thing, which was to remove the entire spindle, brace it on jackstands, and remove the hub with a one-and-a-half-inch center punch and a ten-pound sledge hammer. I really want to give it to you or your stars because it didn't do what I bought it for, but I see the value in lighter duty jobs, so I'll leave it at that. The unit arrived in good condition and on time, and it was well-packaged in a reusable hard plastic case. All of the pieces were in place. Because of the casting flash that remained after manufacturing, it took some grinding and filing to get the item to fit over the wheel studs. I can attest to the fact that the metal was of excellent quality and extremely hard, indicating that the parts should last a long time. If you're working on 4WD light trucks, a heavier slide hammer is recommended. This one is fine for smaller cars and light pickup trucks' wheel bearings. Depending on their intended purpose, I would recommend it to friends because of the price and quality.
handle). I was pleasantly surprised by the set's sturdiness. To be honest, I was expecting a pot metal set for the price, and my biggest gripe is that when using this set, the tee portion of the handle shakes loose. To keep it in place, I'll probably do what others have done and use a tack weld.
The 2 jaw puller's collet was not machined perfectly straight. Because of the threaded angle, the puller jaws had to be offset by about 1/8 inch once mounted to the slide hammer, preventing a straight pull.
On the first use, the T handle kept falling apart. I'd buy something more durable next time, but it served my purpose. Apart from that, every time the handle falls out, I have to keep up with it. Make it stronger by welding it. Geez.
Product was excellent; I received it today and immediately put it to use; it did exactly what it was supposed to do; it was flawless!.
I can't believe I went so long without having access to such a wonderful tool.
I use it in my garage and it works perfectly. The price is reasonable, and the product performs admirably.
