It does not work well for magnet fishing to use a double-sided magnet. One of the magnets works better than the other. If the kit included 2 of these instead, it would be a much better purchase.
All in all, this is a great product! I really like the carrying case, the magnets are really strong, and the rope is really good. It is the locking Carabiner that is the only issue I have with this whole setup. In order to keep it closed, it has a spin lock that can extend past the end It only allows the locking part to be in contact with half of the threads it should be. Having the ability to go to a local home improvement store is a simple solution to the problem. For that reason I only rated it 4 out of 5.
First of all, thank you for your time. Putting the magnets together is not a good idea. It went by fast, and was a lot of fun to play with. I believe it has a good purpose, so I'll use it again soon. rope's a little on the cheap side, but it's still very sturdy, I'm not sure if it's weak or not. A little loosening is all that is needed on the outer layer.
By our boat dock, we were able to retrieve a screwdriver and part of a minnow trap that had been lost. As of yet, I've found nothing interesting after trying some "magnet fishing". Unless I've tried the right place, I've not found it There is one thing to keep in mind. As one magnet was in use at once, the other magnet was being used to lift the wood part of what I was lifting. The magnets came in contact when one slipped and the other one was contacted. You (or at least I) cannot pull them directly apart! The only way to separate them that I found was to slide them sideways, pushing one against a fixed object, like a pole or a curb.
They can do it when bored as a fun little side activity. Do not mix the magnets together, but I must warn you against doing so. We ended up hooking them to the truck so they could be unstuck from each other because my husband made that mistake. I love it.
This is a great price, but it's important to tighten the screw on one magnet to prevent it from falling off. This kit is amazing on the whole.
This is the one to use if you want to fish with magnets. I just received my first kit and I am very happy with As far as magnets are concerned, there are a few options. Additionally, I have a grappling hook to be on the safe side. When you add all the extras, which are of excellent quality, you'll be well on your way to a fun magnet fishing experience.
Magnets are perfect, I was going to put them to work, but it is against the law. I like the set a lot.
