A rope similar to this can be purchased from Home Depot, and the safe working load limit is listed as 356 pounds.
The rope that was shipped to me was double braided and solid. The length I measured was 100' longer than what I expected. It is of very good quality as well. I had a rope which I was happy with, so I am sure you will love yours
It is estimated that 3/8" nylon braided singles have a breaking strength of 3,750 pounds.
When splicing, the braid makes it difficult. Invest in a normal 3 strand twist rope if you want to splice the rope properly.

I have reviewed the Rope King SBN-450 in this quick review A solid braided nylon rope measuring 3/8 inch by 500 feet in size 38500. I was very impressed with the quality and the neatness of the tightly braided nylon rope that came with the I'm able to see no gaps or overlaps and it appears to be the right size for a 20m pulley (Rocaris 10 Pcs Stainless Steel Wire Rope Crane Pulley Block M20) with no gaps or To save a few dollars, I wouldn't risk getting a lesser rope if I knew I could get one for the same price. Please note that I would guess that 5/16 rope would work as well with the pulley mentioned above.
I received the item as described in the advertisement and as shown in the photograph. The whole package arrived intact. It is important to cut rope carefully when working with this type as it will fray easily. I placed clear shipping tape on the rope where I wanted to cut it, and then used heavy duty scissors to cut the rope. I then melted the ends of the rope to seal them. The product was not damaged in any way. This was a high quality unit with no marks, was clean (no dust or dirt) and was as white as white It's easy to operate. In order to do a project, I had to cut the rope into 14 pieces that were 40 feet long. This required a lot of cutting, handling, etc. , and I never had any problems as long as I cut the rope properly.
Rope with a nice, soft, flexible feel. The spoils are made of wood and Rope of good quality. Although I doubt that it would unravel too much, I think I'd still prefer to melt the ends to make them more secure. There is a little more grip in it than the one I bought from my hardware store, so I'm not sure what reviews are suggesting. Again, I'm not sure what some people are complaining about the spoil because it came on a wooden spoil with three long steel bolts that held it together. Even if you let the bolts come loose or abuse it, it shouldn't be a problem as it seems pretty solid for its purpose of holding ropes.
It is possible that one pair of bolts on the wooden spindle has come loose, but I was unable to reinstall it Hopefully the spindle reel will stay together over time after you screw up the nut. This rope appears and feels very similar to a nylon rope but for a lot less money. The polypropylene blend that I got from home depot was very fragile (not abrasion resistant) and had lots of broken strands! -
I'm hoping the Rope King SBN does the trick for you Unlike Braided Nylon 38500, which is a blend of nylon and kevlar, Braided Nylon 38500 is made up of 100% nylon as it is intended for use at loads under.
A 3/8 inch diameter should measure 5/16 inches at best when the rope is not twisted. This is one reason why it has a cheaper price than other 3/8-inch ropes that actually measure more than 3/8-inch. The spool is.
I ordered this in 2018, but I was not happy with it.
There's quite a bit of course weave in this rope, but it appears to be good. To raise an amateur radio (ham radio) tower and antenna, I used some 300 feet of it as a block and tackle. I was impressed with how well it held up and how easy it was to use. Some sections of the rope appeared frayed, but they did not appear to weaken the rope or cause it to foul on the If I need to purchase Rope King rope in the future, I will consider it.
There was a splice and a melting in the rope which I discovered after pulling 150 feet off the spool. It happened by coincidence that I had ordered another spool which still hasn't been received. If I find a major flaw in it as well, that will be the true acid test.
