I'd like to use polyester rope since it should be strong and light, and it should also be UV-resistant so it can be outside for years to come (I won't be able to vouch for that part until after several years have passed). The fabric does not stretch much, so when you pull it taut, it remains Moreover, it is woven tightly with a smooth surface, so you do not catch it on anything as you drag it through the forest. My neighbors just used 800 feet of this to mark out the boundary of a portion of their property in the forest. They hung it up at about 7 feet above ground level so that it would not impede deer as they walk past. I've found that it's so light that I can hang it from supports for 200 feet. I find it strange that I am excited about a rope purchase, but I am in this situation. This was a very disappointing experience. There is no doubt that polyester rope is included in the product description. Our package contained a spool of Nylon rope clearly labeled. Polyester and nylon ropes are very different in their use cases, and each has its own properties. When ordering, be sure to pay attention.
