We find the rope ratchet 1/2 version to be very reliable. There is no doubt that a rope made from Manila is too stiff to work effectively. It is best to use a poly or nylon rope for uphill game retrieval. I am using two ropes for that purpose. One can be anchored at the top, while the other can be anchored at the sled, so two hunters can pull simultaneously. By means of the ratchet, the sled is held from moving There is a limit of 110 pounds stated on the advertisement. There is a 500 pound label on the ratchet. It is made in the United States, and it is of excellent quality.
We used it to close our picket lines. Our knots did not have to be constantly untied or retied, and the rope was kept tight. lever is hard to move when the rope is under tension, just like a rope is hard to move when it is coiled. Having a screwdriver on hand will make a big difference next time. It is mostly due to the fact that after 40 years of desk work, my 60 year old hands are not as strong as they used to be! It's not uncommon for us to have to picket on two lines at the same time.
These are wonderful products! I recommend them to anyone who does not wish to tie up their boat. This is a quick and simple way to secure and release your garment!.
Tie that is easiest to use and best. When you are rushing, this is the way to go. Put one end around a hook and tighten it. The release process is simple.
It works great when it comes to drivelines and fan hubs. I use mine at Pete's shop to support heavier parts rather than having to have two guys.
The one made in America malfunctioned, and the parts were not assembled correctly, so I had to take it apart and rebuild it.
I found the set-up and use to be very simple and intuitive.
In a sidewall trailer, I typically use these ratchets to bind loads. Ratchets with a capacity of half an inch are made solidly and could be used in many applications. There are several of these 3/8 ratchets I use - I expect this one to be just as useful.
