Questions & Answers
The mixer can handle liquids as well as very loose, light dry materials. Quikcrete, when mixed with the proper amount of water, is stiff and heavy, and it cannot be mixed with Jiffy.
It's a food-grade mixer that we're using. This was confirmed for us by the manufacturer's website, I believe.
I wouldn't try it because there would be a lot of torque involved. All cordless drills, as well as most standard duty corded drills, would be destroyed. br>If you have a Milwaukee Hole Hawg, it should be able to handle it without overheating. When mixing pure dry powder, however, I don't believe it would produce the results or mix quality you desire. br>This will mix most mortars and concretes (again, make sure you have plenty of torque) as well as any liquid paint, coating, or 2-part epoxy. Even if it's as thick as peanut butter, mix equal parts epoxy, urethane, siloxane, and dry wall mud.

soap-making - Using a 5 gallon bucket or larger, make on a larger scale. It works great and emulsifies the mixture better than an immersion blender of comparable size. This book comes highly recommended.
This mixer is used with 2-part protective coatings, which I work in. It can be used for thick epoxy coatings, cementitious polymer cements with aggregate and abrasive media, but it can also be used for ordinary paints and drywall muds because of the thorough mixing action. Because it's stainless steel, it'll last a lifetime; if there's any cured material on it, simply sand blast it to a gleaming finish.
For mashing grain for home brewing, this is fantastic. It easily handles a 15 gallon MLT and busts up doughballs as if it were made for it. I know this isn't the typical application for this device, but I really like it.
Ideal for experimenting with glazes.
It works well for mixing up large batches of organic fertilizer (20 quart) using dry materials such as soymeal, bone meal, kelp meal, and other similar materials. If you try it at home, keep in mind that a lot of dust is produced.
I should have bought it in the first place because I have a lot of bad ones.
