A few of the Gladiator Cabinets come with castors when I looked them up online. In my opinion, adding these castors after the fact does not pose any problems. The brackets have been used in the design of display cases and other projects of my own and have never failed to perform. You're off to a great start!
Wheels that are not only swivel but also braked are high-quality and look great
There is no terrain that is exclusively solid. It is ok for concrete to be smooth, but look at soft rubber or inflatables if they are uneven
On the base of the post, the slots have a center distance of 2" x 1 3/8". These screws were on the bottom of 4x4 posts when I installed them. In terms of mounting plate dimensions, it is 2" x 2 3/4" which means that it would hang over the end

The casters I had on a workbench were from a competitor (HF). There were 2 fixed and 2 swivel, but no mechanism for locking them. It's almost cheaper to buy these 4 than to buy just 2 locking swivel casters, so I bought them. The wheels and locks on these are much better. The door locks smoothly, they are the same height as other brands, and they slip into the same pattern of holes I am expecting them to last for a long time, and I would buy them again if I needed more if they held up as expected. Update Regarding a posted question about whether or not these devices can be left outdoors, I have attached a photo of the exposed bearings and cups. As these are not made of stainless steel or galvanized, they will eventually rust and you would lose their ability to be swiveled.
In addition to ship tools, I have bases with wheels for some of the equipment. Lowe's offered the first set, which was 3 inches in diameter. There is no way I can get 75lb machines to roll on these bases, and getting locks to grab are impossible except with steel-toed I find them to be incredible. On one of my workshop carts, I keep the tools, and it weighs several times as much as the tools I use every day. Setting the brakes with your foot or hand is a simple process. Like releasing, it is easy as well. 6 carts and one new one I am building will be replaced with these wheels in addition to 6 carts from Lowe's.
Despite their locks and large size, these casters still gave me enough clearance and stability for my space needs. As shown in the photos, the casters were installed on the audio rack in the fellowship hall at our church. It wasn't difficult to install them. With a step drill, I drilled holes and attached the casters with carriage bolts of 5/16" diameter. Usually the rack lives in the corner, but it is moved to different parts of the room according to the needs of the event. With the rack fully loaded, the weight is easily less than 100 lbs, so the rack is lighter than there is. In spite of the limited range of movement caused by the skirting on the rack, it can now be moved fairly easily. I am glad to have picked this item, I know I made a good decision.
On all my garage tool stands (attached is a picture of a bandsaw stand I am building), I will use these. It's nice that the wheels are flatter (not like skate wheels) and roll over cracks in my garage and driveway with no problem. Swivel locks, as well as rolling and brake levers, are very easy to reach There is NO doubt that some cheaper caster sets are available, but these have LOTS of 5-inch casters The reasons for the reviews are now clear to me. The quality is excellent, and they are very sturdy. I like the way this rolls. The casters come with mounting screws, washers and nuts for attachment to metal tables/stands, but longer screws will be necessary for the 3/4" plywood cabinet carcasses.
They are strong, smooth, and solid. I am pleased with the brakes because they are well made, smooth and solid. You can put four of these on a fairly heavy miter saw stand. About 58" wide by 24" deep, and four of them are quite sufficient for rolling across the garage and still very easy for my daughter. We are very pleased with the results. My workshop may not have enough casters, so I'll likely purchase more to replace the lower quality ones.
There is a treated wood frame and bar attached to it, and the top is made of 12 stone pavers. I couldn't have asked for more from these casters. They're very big and have quite a bit of durability. The locks are easy to operate, and the wheels swivel easily. As a result, we can now move the cart under our deck to the fire pit whenever we want. The casters work well, too!.
My tool chest came with the OEM plastic casters. I purchased these casters to replace the original plastic casters. They came complete with attaching bolts and a wrench as well. It was damaged in transit, but the product was intact. These are great quality casters regardless of the price, however I needed to fabrication custom 1/8" steel spacing plates in order for the brake mechanism to clear the outside lip on the tool chest. Overall I am satisfied I like how quiet they are and how easily they roll. The next time I purchase them I will look for them.
Having bought three sets, I now have a collection of five. Those were the wheels I used on the rolling carts I built in my woodworking shop for my table saw, miter saw, and workbench. I bought these instead of the similar ones I purchased from Home Depot, as they are much better and less expensive. In addition, they come with all the installation hardware. I bought screws and added these to my bolt supply because I was going to use these on wood. Locks and unlocks are very simple on the wheels. I think this is a lot easier than HD. I'm very, very pleased with the This is perfect.
