Questions & Answers

Do the graduation marks on the wall have an etched or painted appearance?

It is etched on the set I bought in 2017. In fact, none of the marks ever worn off and the one that just broke (my fault, not the beaker's) I grabbed from the trash and used a knife to etch the graduations 100%.

What is the nesting behavior of the set?

There are many sizes of these that nest inside each other, from the largest to the smallest.

these beakers be used to heat oil in the microwave?

Microwaves are safe to use with these.

What do you think about autoclaving them?

According to the specifications, they would indeed be autoclavable if they were made of borosilicate glass.

It should not be used for heating
3/5

Find out what borosilicate glass is different from. Since I bought them before trying to find out why some glass is cheaper than others, I have no idea why they are so much cheaper. While these are fine for measurements, I would not recommend them for use as heaters because they are not durable. It is important to understand there are two dominant The true types of glass with Boron are costlier and of higher quality. A set like this is made of soda lime that does not hold up well to sudden temperature changes. You are gonna have a bad time if you work with hazardous chemicals. Similarly, all capitalized Pyrex has a copyright symbol on it that indicates its lab-quality, while Pyrex (which is not capitalized) is soda-type pyrex. Glass made of lime from China. In a nutshell It is too good to be true if the price is too low. Chemical spills can occur at any time.

The following are warnings, warnings, warnings, warnings! It is made of cheap materials and is of poor quality
5/5

In a separate incident, one of the smaller beakers broke when a 22oz Eastwing hammer fell on it two days later after surviving a 4'9" fall. A piece of glass could likely injure you if the product breaks. It didn't come with any warning that it might break. So, I thought it was okay to walk barefoot without considering how I would clean it immediately afterwards. As a result of milking my injuries, I lost two weeks of pay. There was no warning label, which made it clear that if broken shards of glass are not cleaned up carefully, they may cause injury. Compensation should be paid for this. I am not that kind of guy. These products are definitely worth the money.

This set is great if you're a hobbyist
4/5

Overall, I think this is a great set for someone who wants to use If it were used seriously, I am not sure how much it could withstand. My two sets were purchased and I intend to use mine mostly to make lotions and conditioners that I will place in a water bath for several hours. My two beakers in the hot water bath (one to make lotion, one to make conditioner) performed well over the short duration. When the wood was heating through, there was no alarming noise or concern. They seem to be on the thin side, because of which I hesitate to recommend them for use beyond light hobbyist usage. I really appreciate the fact that all the beakers were delivered safely, nestled in individual boxes. It came with two defective beakers, but it had no effect on the use of either of them. It appears that the side of one of the beakers has been misprinted I can see the markings, but they are not so badly off-aligned that I cannot see them. A crimp is visible on the surface of the rim of one of the beakers (visible in the photos above my thumb and within another photo against the orange pear background cloth), but this does not seem to impair its function. The set is a good choice for those who are looking for a simple, beginner's set of beakers.

When using either of these materials, you should be careful to watch your heart temperature
3/5

There is a possibility that your chair does When using the beakers at high temperatures and with hazardous materials, give them cautious consideration. There is a possibility that your chair does Looking closer at these I can see the quality of manufacture there was. That's evident from the way they were made. My needs are met by them. . . . I noticed something, just something I noticed, the one on the right is the one on the left One of the characteristics of this beaker is its convex bulge on the bottom, with a rounded As a result, it rocks back and forth when used on my hot plate/stirring device. This is not something I approve of, especially once a liquid has reached a temperature that might make it hazardous. Although the price is pretty high, I think it is worth it.

Probably going to use this in my chemistry lab and for These are used by me in my chemistry lab for measuring chemicals, but I also put them on my vanity to hold beauty supplies
5/5

It is designed for powder brushes and eyeshadow brushes, while the 100ml is perfect for paper q-tips A few pointers. There is a 500ml jar that holds mascara, eyebrow pencils, As a result, things can be easily found because the instructions are clear. I find this makeup organizer to be a nice alternative to other organizers at an affordable price.

They are of good quality and good sizes, making them ideal for kitchen use
5/5

Over the past few years, all of my cooking has been done using a weight system. Once you master it, it's more precise and repeatable. Once you've got the hang of it, it may also be quicker as well. The problem is, if you have to measure and prepare all of your ingredients before you begin cooking (mise en place), you would need a lot of containers to store everything. This set of beakers covers all the sizes we need perfectly well and is well made. This product is exactly like the product picture, and it seems like it will last for a long time. I have run them through the dishwasher several times with no apparent issues, so I'm confident they are sturdy enough. Having so many of them is more important than having them be perfect so far. Although they're cheap, I don't expect them to last forever in a busy kitchen. However, having them is more important than having perfect ones. I have also included some volume measurements on the side, but as I said earlier, I only do things now in weight. If you use milliliters when cooking, these beakers will be a good choice for you. In the comments section, if you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!.

It is of average quality
3/5

Light duty. Fit for a variety of demands. In my opinion, heat tolerance should be questioned. I have not been willing to subject these to severe Generally thin glass is used, except for the 100ml beaker which seems to be slightly more robust.
Horribly packaged, each beaker is bare inside its own cardboard box and a second box surrounds the whole package. We don't need papers, foam, or anything else. In my opinion, I am very lucky that none of the packages broke during There are no etch marks, instead all markings are silkscreened. It appears that they are okay at first glance. There's a slight ridge on the bottom of the 1000ml beaker.
They won't last very long. There is a bit of rocking in it. Heat transfer from a hot plate will concentrate on the contact area rather than be well distributed, which can cause a more serious problem than it might initially appear. The more localized the stress, the greater the chances of the material breaking. Other than that, they're reasonably level. IF THEY ARE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, FOR THE PRICE, this can be a good buy, provided your needs are modest and you cannot trust the beakers to withstand critical or potentially hazardous conditions. I think that it is better to spend your money on excellent glassware, even if it is a premium one.
