It is true that borosilicate glass has a maximum working temperature of 515 degrees Fahrenheit and it won't melt at temperatures higher than 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
Because the top of the beaker flares out a bit, nailing the inside diameter does not turn out as perfectly as it should. There were three of them for me.
