Yes, it is extremely simple to operate. You simply drop one down a pipe, shake it around, and retrieve it.
I had no luck with this product. My kitchen and bathroom sinks were too small for the metal implement. br>It fit in my shower drain, but it didn't pick up any debris. I removed hair from the drain with a crochet hook. The plastic items had no effect, and some of the small jagged pieces had broken off and gotten stuck in the drain. This product is not something I would recommend. My money was refunded in full.
This isn't the best product for that, in my opinion. I got a thicker, longer, fuzzy brush designed specifically for dryer lint, and it worked great. It may remove a small amount of lint, but I believe there are better options for lint removal. However, it was extremely effective in removing the clog from the sink.
It's not long enough for the snake. Period!

When I first took the orange plastic spiked strip out of the package, I was skeptical, and I thought all those five-star reviews were from people who lived in a parallel universe - I was tempted to open an Amazon return, but decided that I'd rather risk $9 on plastic than $200 on a plumber. I slid the plastic strip down the shower drain and was pulling up gobs and gobs of hair in less than five seconds. HOLY COW! OHMYGOSH. I can't believe my head still has hair on it. AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF REPULSIVE GUNK! I saved my prize hairball from the shower floor to show my husband, knowing he'd be just as skeptical as I was. It appears to be a small raccoon or a large squirrel, according to both of us, lying helpless on my shower floor. Cooper GTV Drain Snake Clog Remover did an excellent job. You did an excellent job. Before you begin, I strongly advise you to put on gloves and, if you have used any chemicals, to put on safety glasses. It's also a good idea to bring a nose plug. It's a gory, sloppy, stinky, and oh-so-gruesome scene. a satisfying job.
I came across these and thought I'd give them a try. I mean, who could blame me for spending $10? I whipped these bad boys out of the box as soon as it arrived and straightened them out. They straightened out quickly, so I decided to go ahead and do it. I was unable to remove the stopper from the tub, so I simply slid the snake down the drain. It got a little stuck at first, but with a little prodding, it slid right in. It was time to reveal the mess that had clogged my drain once I had it nearly all the way in. A three-foot ratted mess of hair emerged from my drain with one quick and easy pull, which I've kindly attached a photo of for your reference. Now that my drain is clear, I can shower without interruption. This product comes highly recommended!.

Drano wasn't working to fix our slow drain, so my wife asked if there was anything else I could do. Apart from calling a plumber, this was the only thing that came to mind. In the plastic bag I had placed in the tub, I disposed of both snakes as well as the gloves. We left everything in place so we could talk to the teenager about the importance of keeping the drain catch in place to prevent this from happening again. The tub now drains as if it were brand new.

However, be cautious when using it because papers can be hazardous. I'm not sure what this product did to the broken plastic piece, but my drain now works perfectly. This is a terrible product that should not be used or should be used with caution. You might find yourself in the middle of a bigger issue.
