The rug is soft enough to be worn barefoot. It is often used as a doormat by the grandchildren who come barefoot when they enter the house and sometimes they are barefooted. My only complaint is that nothing was wrong.

The purpose of this mat is to serve as a cat litter box mat. It didn't occur to me that it was rough textured at first, but he doesn't seem to care. In my mind, it was a way to prevent litter from being tracked everywhere, and so far I have to say it has worked pretty well! Since I put it down a week ago, there would be a lot of litter on the floor if I had been using my old system.
Recently, we noticed stains on the carpet, and it was time for a major deep cleaning. A thin enough mat was hard to find to cover a large portion of our entrance hall and still be able to open and close the front door easily. My Notrax 1/4 thick mat was perfect! I ordered the black color and, although it has a little white speckle to the appearance of the mat, it was true to the online image. We ended up with a mat that was back on both sides exactly what we wanted. For indoor use, it is of great quality and is very heavy duty. I have finally found a way to keep the carpets in my house clean. It is totally worth the money!.
In my kitchen, I had ceramic tiled floors, and my Roomba 770 kept getting stuck on the linoleum floor in the utility room. I bought this black transition to serve as a transition between those floors. There is also an outside door in the utility room where Florida sand finds its way. There does not seem to be any reflection of infrared from this mat. As it no longer sees the floor with its sensors, it believes that it is on the verge of falling off a ledge. Despite some minor issues, this mat is quite nice.
Having a rug like this is great for capturing dirt and leaves when we come in, easy to clean with a vacuum or hand sweeper, and prevents sand and dirt from leaking through to the hardwood floor, which is vital to wood flooring.
