Using these will help to reduce the risk of slipping while walking in our garage on icy or wet surfaces. Using it for this purpose works great. It lost one star for the way the mats slide around the floor when the car drives Although I am sure I will find some way to secure them, that is the only thing wrong with them. We bought the 10 foot lengths and they are welded together from the 5 foot lengths. There are some seams that are not perfect, but the product works. A 5' length is likely to slip more than a 4' length.
I find it hard to believe you can get a mat of this quality at such a low price. I saw them in bars and it was exactly what I was looking for. Initially, I was unsure if I should have ordered the thicker one when I ordered, but once I received it, I was thrilled. There is price gouging going on here! Amazon is not something I want to buy - The quality was reasonable for the price of under $60 for an outdoor mat. It's not worth buying a name-brand item when it'll only increase the price by 100%+ in such a short period of time. $100 or more. The cost of the ticket is $0. 00, completely unnecessary. Added one of the longer runners as well. There is just one 3x5 glued together with two 3x5s facing each other. It is clearly visible where the seam is. The only way to find out if this holds up is to wait and see.
A second was bought. They fit nicely under my cap when I placed them in the bed of my truck. In the unlikely event of any water getting in, my gear will not be harmed.
