Vacuum hoses are required. These are used to check pressures and add a small amount of refrigerant to the system.

I'll let you know how these hold up, there have been a lot of mixed reviews, so only time will tell. They appear to be a good product, but only time will tell.
I had previously purchased the "heavy duty" black hoses, which were supposed to last longer in the event of a zombie apocalypse, but guess what? One blew out, one crossthreaded, and because they're all the same color, it was a little too much work for my lazy butts to figure out which hose went where. These are the hose world's best shelp escort. They're fantastic!.
For HVAC, these are the best hoses I've ever used. Way better than the hoses that came with my Mac tools. But we'll have to wait and see how long they last.
I had to use adapters to connect to a Snap on air conditioner, but otherwise they're fantastic!.
On gauges, there is a high level of quality.
