The threaded ends appear to be made of steel that has been plated. They are rated for fuels and water, according to the information on them. I believe they are corrosion resistant because they use water-based fluids. I purchased a number of hoses. Some only had one swivel end, while others had two. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if this one's hose end swivels.
The male thread ends on this Apache hydraulic hose would be 1/4". On the threads, the 1/4" refers to the distance from outside to outside.
If it gets "pretty hot," I'd recommend connecting the hose with a short length of copper pipe first. The hose, on the other hand, appears to be quite tough, and I expect it to withstand a lot of heat.

The hose is properly rated, and it is wrapped in a fabric that prevents the hose from rotting in the sun. br>The ends are crimped nicely. br>The threads were protected from damage and were compatible with the mating threads. br>In my opinion, the length is a little too short, but it could be 36" to the end of the threads. I already have it set up, so I won't be able to measure all the way to the end. Because the entire thing will be shorter when the fitting is inserted into the mating part, I believe the length should be measured to the inner end of the threads; however, keep in mind that the usable length is more like 35". br>br>If I ever needed more, I would definitely purchase these.
These hydraulic hoses come in handy when it comes to connecting things to my shop's rigid copper compressed air piping system. I expect them to last a long time because they are wrapped in two layers of steel wire and are rated for hydraulic pressures multiples higher than my compressed air system.
The price was excellent, but I wish the seller offered a wider range of lengths and other options.
So far, everything has gone well. These are significantly less expensive than NAPA or truck repair shops, in my opinion.
The hose and ends are of good quality. Excellent value for money.
This was purchased for a home project I am working on, a small snow plow tractor, and while I have yet to install it, it is exactly what I am looking for.
As an air compressor extension, it's sturdy, heavy, and meets my needs.
