For a garden hose reel, this is a great short section

This was used as a lead line between the house water spigot and the Coxreels 3/4" hose reel. I bought 3/4"NPT to 3/4"GHP thread adaptors, and they work perfectly. Because I couldn't find a short 3/4" garden hose to use for this project, I got creative and used this high-pressure Hydraulic hose. It was a little stiff for this application, but after some time (and hot water), it conformed nicely.
