Questions & Answers

Is it possible to mount a Cisco SG100-E on my wall? In an On-line Environment, NA is Q / Does this work with the Legrand EN2850?

I have the taller EN4280 Legrand enclosure, this mounting bracket (as well as Legrand's cable modem mounting bracket), and several items I need to mount in my enclosure (including a Dell switch that is roughly the same size as your Cisco unit). I haven't been able to come up with a simple way to mount my switch so far. It has vents on the sides, just like yours, so putting it on the bracket on one side would prevent it from cooling properly. Because it, like yours, has a power connector on the back, it can't be propped up on the bracket (ports facing up) because the power connector would be blocked. I'm thinking of using a Dremel to modify the bracket so that I can attach my switch, port side up, to the bracket using the rackmount hardware that came with it. Alternatively, I could use two of these brackets (modified as needed) to hold a piece of sheet metal on which I'll mount my switch and other components. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is there a way to lock the 42 on Amazon?

Please provide more information. What kind of locks do you have? The cabinet itself is a different product, but it has a standard cabinet lock and key.br>br>What do you mean by "42"br>br> br>br>This is a basic half-round product. Two long velcro straps secure a wide cabinet shelf. It can support my UPS (battery), which weighs around 8 pounds.

Is it included with the screws needed to attach the plate, or do you have to purchase them separately?

Yes, the required connectors are included. Screws are not what they appear to be. They look like reusable plastic connectors for pop rivers. They do a good job of holding the shelf in place.

Is it possible to secure an Alcatel Lucent Fios bbu box with this mount? It's the large gray box with an ont and a battery inside of it. ?

Yes and no are both correct. br>br>You can strap almost any kind of box to the cabinet door, but you might not be able to close it. Most people keep their routers and cable modems outside the cabinet because they must transmit wireless signals that would be blocked inside a steel cabinet.

Good product, but the push pin is in the wrong place! There isn't anything wrong with the product
3/5

Only three stars because the push pin in the mount should have been properly installed! Take a look at the image; it's reversed. This means that unless I can get it out without breaking the plastic, it will be impossible to install. You were only employed in one position. 😔.

With my Ubiquiti router, it works perfectly! My Ubiquiti USG router, as well as AT&T's wireless router, love the halfwidth mounting plate
5/5

T modem. I purchased two of these to use in my Legrand cabinet to hold the smaller items. In addition, I purchased a full-width mounting plate for my Ubiquiti 8-foot antenna. Switching between ports. br>br>Needless to say, the variety of accessories available for our Legrand wall cabinet has exceeded my expectations!.

Poorly designed retaining pins and straps
3/5

The shelf functions satisfactorily, but there are two major drawbacks:

- The shelf is held in place by a terrible pin. I purchased two of these, installed them, and then decided to rearrange them due to cable management requirements. The first was nearly impossible to remove (yes, I know you have to disengage the pin first), and the second broke off in my hand as soon as I touched it, even before I applied any force. After spending $24 on an angled piece of metal and some Velcro, I had to use a cable tie to secure it.

- The Velcro straps used to secure the equipment do not easily accommodate components of average size. It's too long to wrap around a standard switch, router, or modem, and it's inconvenient to do so. br>br>It's probably fine if you never have to adjust the placement, but it's still way overpriced for what it is, given that you'll almost certainly have to fiddle with it or jury rig it.

The supplied Velcro straps are too wide to pass through the full-body harness's horizontal loops
4/5

plate of different widths Both the half and full widths fit perfectly in my 2005 OnQ enclosure. The half-width Velcro can be used in both sets and loops, but the full-width Velcro is only good for vertical running. They're too big to fit through the loops and keep an item wrapped around your waist. For example, I'd like my network switch ports to be on top, so I'd wrap the Velcro around the body horizontally to keep it out of the way of the ports. I had narrower Velcro on hand, but you'll need to get the scissors out if you don't already have them.

The price is exorbitant, and the design is mediocre at best
3/5

I'm glad I only ordered one because $20 is an absurdly high price for this "equipment. " This is riddled with design flaws - First, the pin protrudes from the device, making it impossible to lay it flat across the entire shelf; second, the pin is protruding from the device, making it impossible to lay it flat across the entire shelve; and third, the device second - The velcro straps are far too long for a standard cable modem or router, in my opinion - It was difficult to wrap them twice because the mounting "ears" are too narrow for two layers of velcro. After dealing with this Legrand-designed nonsense, I decided to make my own mounting brackets for the router out of aluminum sheet.

This was exactly what I needed for my structured wiring enclosure
4/5

It does what I need, but it isn't perfect. However, there are a few reasons why I can't give it 5 stars. First and foremost, the mounting holes in my 42" Legrand enclosure were perfectly aligned. The mounting pins and grommets that came with the kit were the source of the problem. They don't provide any support for the plate, and anything mounted on it will cause the entire plate to sag. To support the weight, I ended up using zip ties on the top. Second, the plate's design makes it easy to mount. It can, however, be a stumbling block. I was unable to mount my equipment in the manner in which I had intended. To get all of the cabling to work out and line up, I had to mount my firewall in the upper left quadrant and my cable modem in the lower right quadrant. Apart from those two flaws, it's a useful addition to my enclosure that I needed.

However, it appears that a few more could have been included
3/5

The bracket worked, but it appears that it could have benefited from a few minor enhancements, such as:

- a more substantial foundation It could be an inch deeper to accommodate slightly larger components (such as my TV/internet provider's DSL modem/router). br>br>- a smaller footprint; Wire runs usually run along the sides of the standard data cabinets that these fit into, so there wasn't a lot of room. br>br>- velcro notches/holes should be placed better, or there should be more notches; I believe that six sets of notches, rather than four, would be preferable. Because the component I mounted takes up approximately 75% of the width, I could only use the inner notches if I wanted to leave ample space on the sides for port access and% For increased mounting stability, I had to move it to the side of the bracket. br>br>- Instead, use "Velcro" or nylon straps that can be adjusted. I wish the hook-and-loop closures that came with the package were a little more Because the and-look strips were one continuous length rather than four separate pieces, I was able to cut-and-paste them. instead of having to rig up strips with multiple pieces, length 2 pieces I also needed to figure out a clever way to make the ends accessible so that I could remove the component without removing the bracket from the cabinet. Because the system does not allow for a snug strap, the adjustable straps may have been a better option. br>br>Apart from that, the part appears to be fine, but a little too basic for the price paid.

The design team at OnQ/Legrand has a knack for making me smile
5/5

I bought an OnQ/Legrand data/comm/TV distribution panel, as well as a slew of other components, including this one. It works as advertised, and I purchased three of them (one for the cable modem, one for the wireless router, and one for the 16-port switch). switch (port). br>br>One of these days, I'll post a high-resolution picture. A high-resolution photo of the panel or a brief video demonstrating everything are both acceptable options. In fact, given that this is not my area of expertise, I am quite pleased with the outcome.
