It appears that a junction box can be accommodated by cutting out a circle or rectangle (though I'm not sure). br>I have two types of siding on my house: newer vinyl siding on the side walls and older aluminum siding on the back; this perfectly matches the profile of the older aluminum siding. In contrast to aluminum siding, which slopes fairly consistently, newer vinyl siding has a straight run followed by a steep slope. I've included photos of the aluminum siding, which appears to be a tighter fit.
There are no installation instructions for this type of vinyl siding mount product anywhere on the internet, and after wasting an hour and a half looking for them, I'm now certain that this snap-on product is not for me. The language on the trim ring is finished b. The benefit of this product is that it eliminates the need for a large fixture-cutting operation. If your fixtures aren't already in place, you'll need to drill holes in the siding to screw them in. In the end, I'd rather use it than not, but the intentionally deceptive language irritates me.
My son- We learned about them through the law. A clever method for ensuring that new outdoor lighting hangs straight and properly. You can also paint the siding to match or contrast with it! I'm so happy I found it!.
However, before placing an order, double-check your light fixture. I didn't, so I had to place a new order.
These are a great fit for my cameras, and I've studied mounting them to them.
In comparison to the light mounted and existing trim, white appears to be a little off white.
