The inside rectangle measures 6 x 10 inches, while the outside frame measures 8 x 10 inches.

What is the depth of this storage space?

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Builders Edge. This unit measures 1 5/8" deep and has locking positions at 3/4", 1", and 2". 1 1/4".

Is the back of the house scalloped for siding?

It's a two-piece set, not a one-piece set. The bulk of the unit has a nailing flange that sits flush against the house sheathing in the first piece. The vinyl siding adheres to the block, and the second half of the unit snaps onto the first to conceal the vinyl siding.

Is it possible to mount a single stud full motion tv wall mount with this? I'd place the mounting block over the stud and secure the television mount. ?

As a general contractor, I'm responsible for a wide range of projects. This product is not suitable for use as a TV mount. This is a hollow vinyl mounting block that is designed to be used with vinyl siding on the outside of a house. In most cases, TV mounts are mounted directly to the wall and do not require a mounting block. Unless you're talking about putting a TV on the outside of a house (on a covered porch, for example) over vinyl siding. In this case, you could use this block if your TV mount is small enough to fit on the flat surface of this block (which is unlikely). However, you will need to fill the hollow part behind the block with 2x lumber and ensure that the block is screwed into a stud, as well as remove and reinstall siding into the built-in J channel frame on this block in order to install the block into the plane of the siding correctly.
