***There has been an update. These mounts do not fit my 8 gallon tank, which I received today. I'm disappointed because my rack is scheduled to be built this weekend. Will see how the company handles this**

br> The design is simple but powerful. The locks are simple, but if someone wants to steal the entire gas can, they will have to work a little harder. I'll keep you updated if I run into any problems after I install the 8 gallon tank.

The mounting kit for the combo pack was purchased by Putlr. It is not compatible with the 8 gallon fuel tank. As a recommended combo pkg, it should be removed.

I ordered four of them, and they all keyed the same way without my asking, which was nice. I haven't put any fuel in them yet, but I expect them to work fine.

When I go on trips with my Jeep JKU, I use these with a 5 gallon tank to carry extra fuel. Great product that is less expensive than Rotopax but just as durable. Bonus: all of the locks are the same key.

Simply place these next to the tank. To put it where I wanted it, I had to drill new holes in them. Self-tapping screws were all I had on hand. They lasted a long time and were extremely comfortable to wear.

First and foremost, I'd like to compliment Angela on her outstanding customer service. I had originally placed an order for two. I had a 6 gallon tank that I wanted to trade for a 5 gallon tank and mounts. They quickly helped me and completed the transaction. Second, this gas tank is incredible. br>br> It's very solidly built, and it doesn't flex at all when I stand on it (I'm 180 pounds, by the way). This past weekend, I refilled it and went on a trip. I wasn't rock crawling by any means, but neither was I on asphalt for the duration of my journey. There were no visible leaks, and the tank didn't appear to have swelled. On my way home, I used the fuel and had no trouble pouring it out using the included spout. This is a fantastic fuel can in general. Second, the locking mounts held up well; it rained the entire way home, so I made sure to dry and oil the lock to keep it from rusting. The mounts could be unlocked in either case, and they were all keyed the same way. Overall, I will recommend this fuel can and the locking mounts to others and will continue to use them on my trips.
