The 1/16 barb is used in DCI 0074, which comes in a pack of ten. D tubing, such as DCI 1202 tubing, uses the 1/4 O and comes in a pack of ten. D tubing, such as DCI 1405 tubing.

Which barb should be used to let water in and which should be used to let it out?

Water in is at the bottom (opposite the knob), and water out is on the side.
