It measures approximately 3" in length, 1 1/2" in width, and 1" in height. I hope this information is useful.
What matters to the valve is the source of water. As long as fluid moves into the tank where the float is located, the flow will eventually be shut off if the accumulation rate is positive.
There isn't a thing you can do about it. The float must travel a specific distance in order to completely stop the flow. In order for the float to completely shut off the flow of water, I had to make an adapter to lower the valve assembly further into the tank.

The product is excellent.
It's fantastic.
Metric. NOT 1/4".
It's ideal for auto-filling a Keurig coffee reservoir. The kitchen sink will no longer be used to fill the reservoir.
This is an excellent product that performs admirably. Very dependable.
This product fits perfectly in my Manitowc ice machine and is less expensive than the manufacturer's part.
