It's been a few years since I replaced the float valve on an evaporative cooler, but I'm almost certain the valve was connected to a 1/4" line. I'm sorry, but I can't give you any more assurances.

These Swamp Cooler parts are difficult to come by in Canada, so this was an ideal match. I wasn't sure I'd be able to find a part for a 40-year-old cooler, but it turned out to be a perfect match.
The valve is plastic, but it appears to be adequate.
The overflow in my swamp cooler was stopped.
Because I live in Africa and can't easily get a replacement, I bought this floatvalve as a backup. However, I have already replaced the original floatvalve with this identical item, and it works just as well as the original.
This item was difficult to come by. Amazon had never occurred to me. I should be ashamed of myself. Everything works out fine once you've found it. Simple to set up. Because the quality of my water is so poor, the plastic floater disintegrates after only two years of use, I ordered two.
Excellent, well-crafted created a float valve. They won't fit my application (my fault for not measuring correctly), but everything else about them is fine. Bending is simple. These are easy to adjust in place thanks to the adjustable float arm. I eventually settled on a float valve with a much shorter overall length that was more appropriate for my needs.
Now I have a second to put in. I put it in a humidifier that I was tired of refilling, and it works perfectly. Now I have a second humidifier to install in the same manner. The first has been functioning flawlessly for several years. As a supply line, it works great with icemaker kits.
