Product Description

A mini float valve with an adjustable arm that will last for years. It is made of ABS plastic that doesn't corrode or rust. Can be used for ponds, chicken coops, livestock water pails, aquariums, aquaponics, aquaculture, hydroponics reservoirs.

The system tops up and keeps the water in your system at an optimal level. Make sure your plants stay wet and dry by spending less time filling and inspecting your tanks.

Can you tell me how long and how wide the ball is?

On the top of my head, I would say the diameter is about 2 inches, the length is around 4 or 5 inches.

The water barrel was 12" above the float. Is it possible to get 6 gallons per hour from a gravity feed?

That is likely true if you are talking about gallons per hour The likelihood of you receiving 6 gallons per minute is very slim. In a side note, we've found that the float isn't buoyant enough to allow the water to shut it off, so sometimes it sticks and continues to run instead of shutting off the water automatically.

Can the hose connector be swiveled so you don't have to twist the host in an odd manner in order to connect it?

There is a low pressure setting for these. It will not work with a standard garden hose! There is no way to fix this, even if the valve is slightly opened. Additionally, the connector for the hose is not swivelable. A straight fitting is used.

Are you confident this system can run in a garden pond while you are away for three months?

I use mine for automatic filling a reservoir to water my hydroponic garden in my greenhouse. It works great off a garden hose for over a year now

Not as good as it should be

The float is designed to raise and lower in order to turn off the water, so in that respect It makes sense to me that the fittings are the worst I've encountered. I could not use the standard hose end as the threads were too small. My garden hose was never able to reach my rubber washer, so no seal was formed. Neither swivel nor tilt are available. As a result, your hose gets twisted up. To keep them from leaking, I had to get pipe dope from the store. I had to smoke a lot of pipe dope while doing that. This device is still holding water after a month of use. In my case, I used them to automate the watering of The waterer is installed in both a plastic tote and a PVC pipe.

The software works very well The only thing I didn't know was a couple things that weren't obvious In my ignorance, I didn't realize how low the quality of this product was An adjustment valve controls the flow

The kids were going to use it for a project There is a bucket of water pouring from above them into a "dunk tank" like that. Despite having it hooked up to a hose so it automatically refills the bucket after it dumps, it's slower to do that manually than just filling it up with the hose.

It is difficult to get water - A tight fit

I noticed that it leaked badly from the hose fitting after turning on the tap. No matter how tight we tightened, nothing worked. It didn't help to tape the surface with Teflon. I tried greasing it but it didn't work. No matter what hose I tried, it did not work. It did not help to replace the gasket with a silicone gasket. In the other valve of the pair, there was no difference in performance. I replaced the old gasket with one from my own parts drawer, one that's shaped like a torus (donut) rather than the flat gasket, which eventually resulted in the water being tightened. *For now, the valve is on the water side The clamps are tight and are.

Their cost is low and they work well

This is a float valve that I bought for buckets of water for the deer that cross through our yard. The price was right and they looked like plastic when they arrived, but they do the job. The cheapest and ikest way to travel In fact, both valves have been in buckets that have been used all summer and are still working fine. There seems to be a lot I got for my money.

There is a leak coming from the Does not leak well when there is no pressure or even low pressure (gravity)

The gasket was even a different one (new) and multiple gaskets were used. There is a lot of leakage. The seller returned the item and will sell it for a different price.
