I'm not sure, but I'm guessing not because it's all plastic.
On the suction side of the pump, I recently installed one. My tanks are higher than the pump, so it doesn't work very well. On the filter/pump, there is about a 4 foot head of water.
Yes, I believe it is. The solution enters the inner portion of the strainer, passes through the screen, and then exits. As debris accumulates in my system, it adheres to the screen. As a result, I believe it will strain the solution in any direction. It's the cleaning, as you mentioned, that's going to be a pain.

When I tested fitted it, I should have known it wasn't a true 1/2" npt. It's the same thread, but it's straight, which means it won't seal properly and will leak. I bought it to replace my 2005 Casita travel trailer, and after a few days of being unattended, the back portion of my trailer was flooded, and I'm not happy. br>br>I wouldn't tell my worst enemy about this product!.
I tried several NPTM fittings that all "bottomed out" on the face of the filter without being tight, indicating that the NPTF threads are not properly tapered. To date, I have used a large amount of thread tape and TFE paste. Leaked.
To make the joint tight, I had to wrap more than 10 wraps of teflon tape around the 3/4" 90 degree adapter threads. Fortunately, it is not subjected to a great deal of stress.
The water from my supply well, which feeds my geothermal heat pump, is filtered to catch very fine sand. It's simple to clean this unit. The flow rate is 2 per minute. 1/2 gpm.
This is a filter that I use before the irrigation manifolds in my hydroponics system. So far, it's been very effective in catching larger pieces of debris that find their way into the system. It's also been incredibly simple to clean.
This filter is fantastic; the 100 mesh is extremely fine and ideal for my hydroponics setup. There will be no more clogging of my irrigation lines.
This was for a farm sprayer with a capacity of 200 gallons. It performs admirably, and the clear view bowl is a welcome addition. I can tell if it's dirty or not. It's a great deal for the money.
In the garden, we are utilizing a gravity drip system. I think I've opened and cleaned the strainer six times now, and it still leaks. Water pours out of the threads because the cup isn't seated properly on the base. Dissatisfied.
