Is this, as stated in the product description, a brass pipefitting with 1/4" male npt and 3/8" female npt threaded connections?

This is threaded with a 1/4" Female npt and a 3/8" Male npt.

These are decent adapters, but they're not particularly exciting

The best part is that for ten of these adapters, the price is hard to beat. They're available at any hardware or big box store, but they'll cost you a lot more. The threads are well-fitting and of good quality, and the brass is hard enough that when turned with a wrench, the hex head does not round off. To achieve an airtight seal, you'll still need teflon tape or thread sealant. In my experience, this is true of almost every threaded adapter I've ever used. Because most smaller gauges have 1/8" pipe threads rather than the 1/4" threads found on most quick connect fittings, these are ideal for installing an air gauge on an air line.

It's a simple product, but the fit and finish are excellent, and it solved my problem. Having extras on hand is always a good idea, and these are a great deal.
