The PVC pipe, on the other hand, slid right into the fitting and all the way to the pipe stop. In addition, when compared to the corresponding plumbing fitting, the pipe hole in the furniture PVC fitting is deeper (1 5/16" depth vs 1" depth). Because the PVC furniture fitting holes are not compressed, you must ensure that both the pipe and the fitting are completely coated in cement. These 1" PVC furniture fittings don't have a tapered insert hole like their plumbing cousins, so PVC pipe won't compress inside. To ensure complete pipe-to-fitting attachment, the PVC pipe must be cemented all the way to the bottom of the pipe hole.
Project : Support for plants on a trellis.
: I used 10ft PVC pipes that I purchased locally to construct a 50-foot long trellis support for my various plants. As a result, I needed a lot of connectors (3-way, 4-way, etc. ) to put the structure together and strengthen it. I purchased these four-way connectors from Amazon because they were significantly less expensive and of excellent quality. They are extremely well-fitting and stylish. br>br>If you're working on a PVC project, I recommend these. I didn't cement my trellis because I want to be able to take it apart easily if I need to. However, they appear to be working well so far.
I used both of these (the 3-pack and the 4-pack). 4-way and I used three-way connectors to make a holder for my 3D printer filaments (see photo). This worked great with some PVC pipe I picked up at a local big-box store. cut to fit from big-box stores I didn't use any glue or other adhesives, and it's holding up well. br>br>My only "gripe" is that I didn't require so much. referred to as furniture I wanted to use higher-grade (and thus more expensive) PVC for this project, but I couldn't find anything other than furniture-grade connectors on Amazon. Still, that's not the product's fault; my wife wouldn't let me build anything with visible PVC inside the house (except in my hobby room) anyway - Even with these, in my opinion, rather attractive components - which, once again, I am unable to "ding" this product for.
While I didn't require the furniture-grade fittings, they performed admirably and were less expensive than store-bought standard irrigation fittings. These are perfect for building outdoor PVC structures to cover my garden plants with nets.
Our dog needed agility jumps, so we used these to make them. They were a perfect match for the local PVC we bought and didn't cost a small fortune to ship, unlike those fancy name brand online agility stores.
These PVC fittings, which I refer to as connectors, are fantastic. The grandkids make forts and tents out of PVC thin walled pipe that I cut up. For those of you who are that age, it's like a life-size tinker toy set. They are of excellent quality.
I bought a hamper from Target, but the elbow corners were flimsy, and I broke two of them while assembling it. These were purchased as replacements and are perfect! They're a lot more durable and feel a lot more solid than the originals. br>As for customer service, I had purchased the incorrect size the first time around and emailed the company to request an exchange. Not only did they respond promptly, but they were also extremely helpful in obtaining the size I required. br>I would buy from this company again if I needed these on a regular basis.
I used them to make a frame to surround my plumeria so I could protect them from the winter cold. They were the same quality as Home Depot but were less expensive.
