I already have a 1/2-inch hole drilled. Will the 1/4L suffice in my situation? I need 1/4" threads on the inside and 1/2" threads on the outside. ?

I won't be able to measure mine because I won't be able to get to it, but you'd be very close, if not exactly right. I recall having to use a 5/8 hole on one of these, but I'm not sure if it was a 1/4 or 3/8 fitting.

The threaded section measures 3/4" in length, and the overall length measures 1".

Are these long enough for 1/4" male connectors to be screwed in on both ends?

Yes, I have two 1/4" male connectors in my kit, one of which is a quick change connector and the other of which is a tubing compression fitting. It works perfectly and I haven't had any problems with it.

Used to mount a gauge for a Brake Pressure Bleeder that can be made at home

I was attempting to make a homemade brake pressure bleeder out of a $10 garden sprayer. A small pressure gauge with 1/8 NPT male threads was mounted to the sprayer using one of these adapters. I drilled a 5/8" hole in the sprayer and sealed the adapter to the container with garden hose rubber gaskets. There are no leaks and it works perfectly.

These are really cool! These were used to install an on-board air compressor, tank, and quick connects to an old truck of mine, and they also work well for adapting flexible air hose between moving components

One is in the tool box and the other is in the bed floor. They're brass, heavy-duty, and I like how the star washer keeps them in place while driving through rough mountain roads. I'll make another purchase.

The purchase was a great success. These connectors were required in order for me to make an airtight smoker in order to check for vacuum leaks. These are of high quality. To make the hole large enough for this, I used a Unibit drill bit, as expected.
