Questions & Answers
Yes, this is brass, and your drinking water plumbing system contains numerous brass components. On the pipe thread, you should probably use Teflon tape rather than petrochemical pipe dope. br>Brass is a copper-zinc alloy with a high melting point. It does not contain any lead.
For holes that small, a set of metal drill bits with each drill bit diameter marked in the set is preferable. Some sets are available in 1/64-inch increments, allowing you to get extremely close to your desired size.
You'll need 1/8" male threads and a 1/8" barbed end to attach the hose. On an 1/8th or 3/16th ID hose, the barb is a tight fit.

This was a complete failure for me. Things were not airtight after tapping and installing the PTFE tape. Fortunately, I had another adapter from Power Tank that I must have overlooked when I placed this order. I installed that one and everything was fine; I assume, based on the other reviews, that this is working for other people, but it didn't work for me. Other Anderson Metals items, on the other hand, are perfectly fine.
In the end, if you use a 3/8 barb, the threaded end will never be more restrictive than the barb side, but for those of you who want complete optimization, this is the way to go.
I had a Harbour Freight Eartquake air hose reel that needed to be replaced after I messed up the ends. These were a perfect match for Interstate Pneumatics (38x38). 625 ferrule is a ferrule that is used to connect two ferrul My hose has an OD of about. 619 to 620 is the range of numbers between 619 and 620. I lubed the barb with soapy water and used a 38 pipe cap to protect the threads of the hose barb while tapping it into the hose. This particular combination makes me extremely happy.
It was a huge success. This barb has excellent threads.
I've ordered and used a variety of Anderson fittings over the course of the last year. One of them is pictured above. Anderson fittings have always been of excellent quality in my experience. I've never been let down by a fitting. All of the threads have been expertly cut and are within the NPT design specifications. When the PTFE is properly wrapped and tightened (not over-tightened), tight. ) They never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, The barbed shank is longer than most, and it grips the hose firmly. There will never be a leak if the clamps are properly tightened. The hex shape on the outside is ideal for use with a standard open-ended question. the final nut Machined and finished to a high standard. br>br>There are no flaws with this fitting at all. I've used every other Anderson product I've tried (so far). ) I can't think of anything I'd like to complain about. Five out of five stars.
The barb is an eighth of an inch long, and the threads are a quarter of an inch long. Otherwise, everything was fine; I had to buy a new one to get the correct size, but I kept this one just in case.
To repair an aluminum radiator overflow outlet, I purchased this along with a separate drill and tap kit. Worked perfectly, but remember to use teflon tape or pipe dope to seal it because npt threads require it.
