I don't know, I use them for my horse's reins that are attached to his bit.

These are in the middle of being toy-like and being heavy-duty. They served as a link between the reins and the headstall for me. They appear to be capable of doing so.

Very strong, but check to see if the eye you're clipping into can handle such a large hook

These were purchased to go with my camera's speed strap. They're both safe and obnoxious - The hook's metal is quite thick and won't pass through the eye, which is too much for my application: (However, because it was an "off-day," I can't penalize them for it. ) "Make use of the label. " They're a good fit for 1" nylon webbing.

For dog leashes, this is ideal! I used these to make an adjustable dog leash for my staffordshire terrier, who has a tendency to pull on the leash quite hard at times

These are fantastic and incredibly durable. Standard dog leash clips come off her collar when she shakes (which happens to some dogs), so I needed these. These clips aren't going anywhere! Which is great if you've ever gone for a walk with your dog on a leash and realized they're no longer attached.
