I needed something to keep in my bag for when I have to serve on the spur of the moment. We use personal banks, so I needed something other than the guest check holders we were all using to keep track of my money. I purchased a few different ones from Amazon, but this was my favorite. br>br>PROS- br>I adore the curved side edges, which make it SO much easier to get in and out of. from your purse or wallet Other books' squared edges snag when you try to put them back in your pocket, so these curved ones were a huge hit with me. The magnetic closure on the cash pocket is absolutely brilliant. This allows it to expand to hold an absurd amount of cash while also ensuring that even if you only have a few bills at the start of the day, they stay put and don't fall out! There are several compartments on the inside for storing receipts and, if necessary, your order book. I have not used this book with my order pad because I prefer to have my order book free so that I can easily flip pages back and forth because I frequently have several pages open at once. I'm sure it'll work just as well that way, albeit a little bulkier. br>br>CONS- If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. br>I do wish they offered this exact design with the magnetic cash pocket in a smaller size because the book is long and gets in the way when I need to bend over, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid because the guest check books were just as long and in the way. The only other flaw I have with this book is that the coin purse is extremely stiff, making it nearly impossible to reach in and grab the change you need. The other one I bought had a much better coin compartment that was more versatile and easier to access. Instead of reaching in, I have to open the zipper, flip the book over, and let the coins fall out in the hopes of getting some of the right ones.
I've been serving for 8 years and have never seen a more well-made server book. It doesn't feel like the low-cost materials used to create restaurant server books. And all of the pockets are fantastic! I've been keeping my cash and coins in a server book and a separate bag. This is no longer the case. I'm ecstatic that my book includes a coin zipper pocket. And because the cash pocket is magnetic, you won't have to worry about your money falling out. And there are still plenty of pockets for credit cards, special offers, and whatever else you might need! This is the only server book I'll ever buy. Ever!.
Because I work full-time as a server, my book is used hundreds of times per day, six days a week. I really like the magnetic pocket because it makes it very easy to access tickets that I've closed out and keep in there. I keep my money in the outer pocket (we do our own money at work, so I always have a lot). I use the inside zipper for things I don't use very often but need to keep safe. (Closed coupons, completed surveys, etc. ) Overall, the book has held up well; it has retained its hard shape while remaining flexible enough to fit into and out of my pocket. I've had and used it for almost six months, and the only problem is that the outer pattern is peeling off at the corner. Which is to be expected given how much I use it, but it doesn't look bad and is difficult to notice; I will purchase again!.
Not only is this book adorable, but it's also extremely useful. Excellent quality, ample storage and pockets, and simple to clean. I'm not sure how I've managed to serve for over ten years without purchasing one of these. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT! There's a zipper on the inside for cash you don't want to get your hands on right away (like last night's tips), multiple folds to keep your close out checks separate from guest checks and credit card receipts, a great area for taking notes (orders), and it's just a great and ESSENTIAL piece of equipment for servers/bartenders.
This is the most comprehensive server guide available. I'd never had anything like it before! It was well worth the money! It's tempting to use it as a personal wallet because it's so durable, with real pockets and a magnetic closure! Since I've started using it at work, I've gotten a lot of compliments. br>At work, I'm extremely busy, so this book is ideal. It is simple to get to. I've been waiting tables for more than ten years and have never invested in my own book. I used to just do the token, duct-taped check presenter. I finally bit the bullet and bought a nice book to better organize my receipts, cash, notepad, and other items, and I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly into my apron. So far, it appears to be of excellent quality. Last night, I used it for the first time at work, and it was fantastic! I also like the design.
This waiter wallet is the ideal size for aprons with long sleeves! Waterproof, well-stitched, and of high material and workmanship quality overall. The magnetic money slot comes in handy a lot. This product is amazing in every way. br>Edit: I've been using this guy for a while now, and I've really abused it, and it's held up admirably. There are no color fades, rips, tears, water damage, or broken seams. Love it! I'm looking forward to the freebies/discounts described in the insert, which they claim to give out in exchange for positive and negative product reviews. In any case, thank you once more.
I like the size of this server book because the server pads at my job are quite large, but I dislike the fact that it has magnets in it. My server cards are always demagnetized, even if they aren't in the book but are close by. It's held up well for a couple of months and is very roomy to store all your needs, but that is definitely a dealbreaker for me. I'll have to toss it out and get a new book.
