I think this is the best book I've ever owned. This book has everything I like about it. I don't have many credit card receipts at my current restaurant because we use a Ziosk for most payments. I keep the few coupons I have (n coupons) in a zip compartment. I'm not a big fan of: I frequently close it, but the zip portion of the book is still functional after several months of use. When the purple is wet, however, it turns blue. I have a habit of spilling things on myself. This does not bother me at all. Actually, it makes me even happier. It will return to its pale purple color after 30 hours of drying open. Who has the time for that? br>Who has the time for that? I don't think so. br>br>It has perfect pocket placement, is super soft, appears to be durable, and has a very unique appearance. I'm in love with the marbled look! When this one wears out, I'm going to get another one in green and hoping it turns dark green when wet!.
This was an excellent purchase that has aided me in keeping track of my receipts and money since beginning my serving job. I will say, however, that putting things away in the area where you put your cash or the receipt holder pockets gets a little difficult. It takes some time for me to open it up and spread the pockets wider apart so that I can fit all of the recipes in. I keep my papers flat, but if you want to put the entire receipt in your pocket without folding it and keeping it flat and long, I must say it's a bit of a pain. I like that one pocket has a zipper; that's where I'll put my cash and loose coins if I get any, but overall, I wish I could just stick receipts in instead of folding them. That's something I do to make them more comfortable. When you're in a hurry or have a lot on your mind, having to stop, put the booklet down, and fiddle with trying to properly stick receipts in it is a real pain. That is something I simply do not have time for. It's very cute from an aesthetic standpoint. Because it sits in my apron with my pens, I've already gotten several pen marks on it, so keep that in mind if you buy a lighter color, but it does the job overall. When you put a serving/note pad in it, it gets a little thicker, but that's to be expected. Any server should have a server book, in my opinion. It aids in my staying organized and on top of things;.
It's cute, the book has a nice texture, and there's plenty of room and places for everything I need (see photo). I can keep a light, corkscrew, money, guest pads, and a pen in my pocket. I also noticed that when I put the zip clip on the flap, it's SECURE; the material isn't thin, so it can really hold as I pull my card. br>br>I'll update my review after a few shifts to see how it holds up in use. Based on what I've seen so far, I have high hopes. br>br>I also think that purchasing a colored or patterned server book adds a nice touch of personality.
This server book is one of my favorites. It's the perfect size for my apron! I like to keep my tips in the little zipper bag so they don't fall out when I'm putting things in and out of my apron, and it comes in handy all the time! Everything is brand new feeling and looking, so it really comes in handy when I need a paper with the specials on it, and then my only con, which is my fault, is how quickly I was able to leave a pen mark on it: (br>It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more purple It's a hit with all of my coworkers.
This is an excellent server book. It comes with all of the necessary pockets, folds, and zippers. It holds a lot of tickets, despite the fact that it was thin when it first arrived. The only flaw is that it isn't water resistant. I dropped it in some spilled beer, and it absorbed the liquid and stayed wet for the rest of the day. However, it dried quickly and did not leave a lingering odor.
I like the color and the fact that it has a zippered section on the inside, as well as numerous organizational sections! I wish it were a little taller; I have to fold credit card receipts to keep them from falling out, and they don't slide easily into the deep pockets without becoming squished and wrinkled. I would strongly suggest it for its durability and organization.
It's the cutest design, and having something other than a dull black book gets me so many compliments. The pocket components are very nice, and there is even a zipper pouch for your tips! My only recommendation is that the pen holder band be made wider to accommodate larger pens. Overall, this is a fantastic and long-lasting item!.
I enjoy shorter books, and this one is no exception. It is well-written and appealing to the eye. The only problem was that my black apron darkened the bottom corner. I'm not sure why it bled because it wasn't a brand new apron.
