After reading the reviews, I decided against buying the book I had planned to buy and instead continued my search until I came across this one. It's been a day since I've had it, and I'm completely smitten. It's a high-quality item with amazing pockets that fit perfectly in my apron. It also fits my order pad, which is quite long. I thought the color would be a little brighter, but that doesn't take away from how much I like this product, which I recommend to anyone who serves. I also like the back card holder. I've used it to put my business card on display in the hopes that someone will notice it and inquire about it.
Keeps my receipts, cash, gum, pen, change, order tab, and other personal items safe and organized, as well as my bank account hidden. It has a nice texture and isn't too bulky. Wipe-clean surfaces both inside and out make cleaning a breeze. The first shift I had this, I noticed a significant increase in my speed and efficiency, and I was astounded by the difference. It's so good that all of my coworkers snatched it up and were cooing over it the next day, ordering their own copies. I rarely give 5 stars (definitely a 5-), but this is one of those times. I'm not a big fan of star snobs, but I have no complaints and am confident that this will hold up in the long run (at least until I'm done with college waitressing). I would definitely order from Golgino again.
I expected the book to be firmer because it is soft and bendable. The corners, on the other hand, are made of a nice, heavy metal. The pockets are particularly appealing. It's a fantastic book, and I'll buy it again when it's worn out. (Don't kid yourself; if you're in the serving business, you already know you're going to cover it in duct tape. ).
At my job, we use glue-backed server pads that are provided by the company. At first, I noticed that the multiple pockets were tearing my pads away from their cardboard backing at least once per shift. It's a real pain. br>br>So, with an Xacto knife and ten minutes of my time, I carefully carved out the unnecessary pockets before cutting the hem out of the pad pocket. br>br>At this point, it's perfect. The fit is so close to perfect for my pads that it's sub-par. The millimeter and other pockets are ideal for my other requirements. When you hold it in your hands, it just feels well-made, as if it were made to last, and my modified version has gotten a lot of attention from my coworkers. I'm only deducting one star because, as I previously stated, it's incompatible with glue-backed pads in its current form. However, with just a little effort, this can be remedied.
I needed a new book that was easy to clean (I work in a seafood restaurant) and had plenty of storage options and pockets. This book isn't fancy, but it will do the job. br>br>The blue color on the inside is more "sparkly" than the pictures show, but in theory, you're the only one looking at it, not your customers. br>br>There is one big pocket for guest checks and two smaller pockets for extra slips, business cards, etc. br>br>The blue color on the inside is more "sparkly" than the pictures show, but in theory, you're the only one looking at it, not your customers. When I went out to buy a new book, it wasn't my primary concern. In short, the book isn't the "iPhone of Server's Books," but it's closer to the "TracPhone," but you get the idea. This is something I've told all of my coworkers about. Many of the workers went on to purchase their own!.
Very well-made and sturdy! This is exactly what I was looking for. I've been in desperate need of a new order book for quite some time. I kept putting it off because I couldn't find another with a zipper pocket that I liked. I write my orders on the left side, and most books place the order book on the right side; the only thing I wish was different is where the pen's elastic is located. It would have been better if it had happened in the middle of the novel. But that's something I can take care of on my own. And since that's just a personal preference, I'm not going to hold it against the review. So far, it's been holding up well at work. All of the other servers had a look at it and thought it was great. I found exactly what I needed!.
The pen is held in the book by a loop, ensuring that you always have something to write with. This book has numerous pockets for any size order receipts, as well as clear pockets for credit cards, POS swipe cards, or memos for yourself as you work throughout your shift. There is also a pocket on the back of the book that can be used to store your POS card. br>br>It may seem like a lot to carry for such a small book, but the design makes it easy to hold and close. I can't tell you how many times during my shifts the waterproof material has saved my life!.
The book is well-made and constructed of high-quality materials. Even the zippers on the inside are in good working order. There are plenty of small dividers inside to keep money, receipts, notes, and credit cards organized.
