I've been here for almost a month and I'm just your average server. It was very cute at first, but the marble design is beginning to rub off and it looks very dingy now that I only use it when I work and it stays in my apron pocket for the most part; it was very cute at first, but now the marble design is beginning to rub off and it looks very dingy. Attempts to clean or wipe the book down in any way only serve to aggravate the design. It's not bad, but don't hold your breath for it to be cute for long. For all of my loose change or other special items like notes from my customers, I love the cash pocket and zipper. As a server book, it works well. The metal pieces do come off, but they easily reattach, making cleaning beneath them a breeze. I'm thinking of covering mine in stickers to hide the "wear and tear. " However, for the price, it's a great deal.
It securely holds credit cards, cash, receipt tickets, and the order pad. Orders are simple to write down. The only thing to keep in mind is that the description specifies that the item is black. It isn't black; in fact, it is identical to the photo. It's made of white marble, so that's what it is. Regardless, the product is excellent.
It arrived quickly, was absolutely stunning, and nearly everyone at my restaurant complimented me on it. There are only a few issues with it that could have been avoided if I had been more cautious. br>The first issue arose when it came into contact with any liquid. This may not be an issue in high-end establishments, but I worked in a standard, if not questionable, bar and restaurant. It usually left a "water soaked" line on it, didn't affect the color, and dried up with little to no trace of the watermark. It was more irritating than anything else, to be honest. The little gold covers on the corners were the next issue I ran into. It gave it a stylish appearance, and while that was nice, I think they came off a little too easily after a while. One of them eventually fell off and wouldn't go back on, so I took them all off, and it was still lovely as it was.
Like I said, it’s possibly preventable if I took better care of it, but I would definitely recommend buying this if you’re starting out, have be.
I've been working in the field of finance for the past few years. For a while now, I've been working in the B industry, and every traditional server book that my restaurant has given me has broken within a few weeks. I needed a new server book that would last and be dependable. So, as is customary, I went to Amazon for help. This is a really cute book that I came across. The various pouches and slots for money, receipts, and change were the main reason I ordered it. The cute design, however, was an added bonus! The only drawback I've found with this book is that it's a little short, and the order pads that my restaurant provides me with are too long for it. However, I simply trimmed the excess paper off the pages' ends, which solved my problem for the most part; it's inconvenient, but it's doable. Another disadvantage of this product is that the book's slots are extremely tight, making it nearly impossible to insert cash, receipts, ordering pads, or anything else. However, after about a month of battling with them, they began to loosen up and became easier to work with as time went on. Overall, this product has been a pleasant surprise, and the few minor drawbacks have been well worth it.
When I started a new waitressing job, our printing tablets stopped working, so I started writing orders and keeping track of my own receipts. This book is decent; I kept it with me at all times and had just enough pockets to keep things organized. The ticket book is extremely well-knit and fits snugly in my apron (though it does cause the apron to shift around a bit, even when tightly tied). I don't like keeping my money in there because it tends to get clogged and coins are difficult to remove, so a separate money pouch alongside this would be ideal. My main gripe is that I keep getting pen marks on it, and they aren't always easy to remove. Aside from that, it appears to be a good value for the money and to be quite durable.
This book has been in my possession for six months and is still in excellent condition. The only drawbacks are that the corners easily fall off and the white easily darkens, even when not touched by pens or pencils, though this could just be a white book's drawback in any case. Overall, though, it's ideal for what I'm looking for.
In May, I purchased this item for my waitressing job. At first, I was very pleased with the product; it was attractive, well-designed, and performed as expected. With the exception of one point. When the product got wet in any way (which is nearly unavoidable where I work), the material (I'm not sure how else to describe it since "fabric" doesn't seem to fit) became soiled and permanently darked to a darker green color, ruining the design I bought it for. My waitressing book now has dark green splotches where I've gripped it with wet hands or placed it on a wet surface. (I forgot to recap my pens, which is why there are black marks in the photo. ) That isn't a flaw in the product. )br>br>Due to the lack of wear and tear on the product (excluding the morphed coloring, of course), I give it a higher rating than one star for durability. As previously stated, I adore the overall design and durability of the product; however, the obvious flaw in the material makes the product unworthy of the price, as any waitress would have a difficult time keeping it dry. I'm not sure if the other material patterns behave in the same way, but it's something to think about before purchasing this product. br>br>Overall, I'd rate this product as average because it strikes a good balance between good and bad.
I was initially terrified of getting it wet, but I suppose it depends on whether you put it in a bucket of water or not. I believe that some of the negative reviews are from people who don't look after their belongings. I've been using it for about two months, putting in around 40 hours per week. I expect it to last about a year. In about 8 months, I'll most likely order another one. It had been well worth it by that point.
