This. Book. Today, I received a rare find. I absolutely adore it! As you can see, the size is vastly superior to standard size. There are also more compartments! Thank you for taking the time to hear us out and making our jobs a little easier. Kudos!.
I work in a high-volume, high-traffic restaurant and have had no trouble keeping all of my credit card slips and cash inside; the tiny front pocket is ideal for holding guest credit cards if they are given to you to hold. I also appreciate the see-through pockets on both sides, which can be used to keep quick reference lists. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the corners are discolored after only a week, and pen marks are visible on the leather. Pen marks can be wiped away in some cases, but you'll need to scrub hard to get them completely gone. One of my friends bought one of the glitter server books, which has a plastic-like outer layer. Hers did not have the same discoloration or visible pen marks, so I'm going to get one of the glitter ones instead! I've recommended these books to all of the servers at my restaurant, and a number of them have already purchased or are in the process of doing so! We all recommend them because of their usability and functionality; however, if the color bothers you, you should avoid them.
I was taken aback by this. I am a zealous destroyer of all that I possess. My cellphones had a problem. My books' spines have ripped. Every single one of my dishes was broken. I'm a clumsy, active woman, and this serving book has been terrorizing me for months. I bought it to establish myself as a stylish and dedicated waitress. I also liked the money pocket because it prevents me from flinging cash at customers with the pomp and circumstance of the worst magician. I expected to annihilate this thing in a month's time. The book, on the other hand, held up as the days passed. I hosed this bad boy down with a tsunami of sanitation water even when I was at my lowest, dropping the salad in front of my tables pitiful faces. In fact, despite its filth, this book is still alive and well. The only reason I'm retiring it now is because I'd like to get a new one. It's all for show. 100% would purchase again again again again again again The only drawback to this book is its diminutive size. This is what I prefer, but keep in mind the size when purchasing. It has plenty of room for cash and a small pad of paper. wide enough for a pen to be tucked between the spines.
This server book is one of my all-time favorites. I've been a professional server for over 15 years. This is something I wish I had purchased last year. I finally gave in and ordered this adorable awesome book because every restaurant I've worked in has given me a flimsy black vinyl server cash book that inevitably falls apart and lacks pockets, etc. I really like the color. It's the perfect size, a little smaller than a standard vinyl book but just right; the pockets were stiff at first but loosened up after a week of use and now hold everything I need. I can fit about $200 in $5 bills, plus the credit card slips for the night, into this book, which is beautifully organized. It appeals to me greatly. A fantastic purchase!.
I've worked in the industry for nearly 20 years and despise having to carry these things. I had worked for the same company for 15 years and knew everything by heart, so I didn't need to keep a notebook, so I didn't have one. My job was forced to close due to covid, and I was transferred to a new company, where I had to learn new menus. This server book is smaller than most, which I appreciate. It's still a pain to carry, but it's a lot more compact and well-made. Also, the cost is very reasonable.
Professional and attractive. This waiter book is the ideal size, fitting neatly into my server's apron pocket and being easy to hold and manipulate while taking orders. There are a lot of 'pockets'. They're small, like credit card slots, bill slots, and credit card slip slots - It's not a good idea to keep your change in your wallet. That isn't a problem for me because I have my own "bank" (a dollar store pencil holder). br>br>The book (with the "happy" tag they give you if you like it (there is also an "unhappy" tag) is pictured above, and I am using the We Make More Revenue Booster Notepads, which I also enjoy. To demonstrate relative size, I positioned it above my apron (Dickie's brand, standard server apron).
This is a complete waste of time and money. It's too small, too narrow, and the slits are too close together. It literally won't fit into a standard order book, and even after I cut some of the bottom cardboard to make it narrower in the hopes of making it fit into the slit, it still won't because it's too tight. I'm not sure how it got so many positive reviews, but that's what drew me in, but buyer beware - it's not for everyone. This is not going to work. I went to Walmart the same day I got it and found a better one for $7.
As soon as I took this book out of the box, I was blown away by its quality. It has a nice weight to it and is just the right size for my apron pocket. By the end of the night, I'll be able to fit everything I need into it without any problems. I'll be sure to tell my fellow servers about it.
