This napkin holder isn't up to par. As the napkins are removed, the weight that holds them does not move down. To keep the weight in place, you must manually press it against the napkins' tops. When there are only a few napkins left in the holder, the weight struggles to keep them in place. The holder functions satisfactorily once the weight is in place. One napkin can usually be removed at a time, but the weight in the center is disappointing.

I wasn't sure how this would work, but it works much better than the type of holder that allows the napkins to flop to the side, and it's much easier to pull out one napkin at a time.

It's sturdy and doesn't sway when the table is moved around. I don't always have to refill it because it holds a lot of napkins.
