Cook's Brut (750 mL) is a good fit for us. The bottle is 11 inches tall. 75" in diameter (or 3.25 feet). If that helps, the diameter is 5". We keep the gel pack frozen so it's always ready, and it keeps the champagne cold without the mess of melting, dripping ice.
Approximately the same size as a standard ice bucket
I purchased the standard still wine size, which fits all wine bottles with the exception of Champagne. Champagne bottles are taller and wider than other types of wine bottles. I'm guessing the Champagne cooler is a little too big for regular wine bottles.
I'm not affiliated with VacuVin, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the size and shape. Champagne bottles are shorter and squatter than wine bottles.

I was dissatisfied with the $25 I paid because it didn't stay cold. This item had constant condensation, and when pouring a glass, your hands get wet, and it defrosted very quickly. br>br>Here's the scoop: I live in Florida and enjoy relaxing on my back porch, swimming, drinking bubbly, watching movies, and playing video games. So I'm outside when I use this item, but I keep my drinks cold. I DID NOT BUY THE VACU VIN RAPID ICE COOLER TO KEEP MY BOTTLES COOL. This item was purchased in order to KEEP them cool. br>br>Without this Vacu Vin, my drinks warm up in less than 5 minutes, and who wants warm champagne? Not I! True Test: It's currently 100 degrees and humidified, and this item kept my bottle cool for several hours during the day.
It has a nice, clean appearance, and the stainless steel construction makes it easy to clean and sturdy. The cooling pack falls short of expectations; the description claims that it will cool a bottle in 5 minutes, but I've never seen it cool a bottle even half as quickly as a wine fridge or regular refrigerator. It does a good job of keeping the bottle cold if you leave it out on the table for a while, but I've noticed that the cooling sleeve gradually absorbs air, making cooling more difficult.
For champagne, the sleeve is a little too tight. Bottles with a vintage look, but that are simple to operate. If your freezer is very cold, it will work better. br>br> The temperature in our regular freezer drops to - 2F, but we have another freezer that can go as low as - 25F: Better results are obtained by placing the sleeve in a colder freezer.
I am overjoyed!.
This is fantastic! This is the best way to keep your champagne ice cold without risking an explosion by freezing it. The item is simple, but it accomplishes the task at hand. The only recommendation is to purchase additional chiller inserts (the Vacu Vin company makes some that cover even more of the bottle and fit perfectly in this cooler). For daily champagne drinkers, this is a must-have!.
A great way to chill champagne. I doubt it will instantly cool a room-temperature bottle in 5 minutes, but it will get you from cellar temperature to serving temperature quickly. It will keep a chilled bottle of champagne cold for a long time, and it has the advantage of not getting the bottle wet (as a traditional champagne bucket will), and there is no condensation on the outside; all in all, it works well and keeps a clean serving environment.
I'm not sure if this will chill a bottle of wine from room temperature to serving temperature in 5 minutes - Nonetheless, I have my doubts. What I do know is that I took a bottle of champagne from the fridge and placed it in the cooler, and an hour later, the last glass we drank was colder than the first! I have no doubt that this cooler will keep wine cold for several hours on the table. I also appreciate not having to deal with melted ice or soiled labels. I'm very pleased!.
