My first year making maple syrup, I didn't know how it was going to turn out, so instead of spending a lot of money on elaborate "maple syrup" equipment, I used these pans to and a Coleman camp stove to cook These pans looked very promising but I was skeptical about their quality due to their price, and I wondered if heating directly with a flame would cause them to warp or burn. The corners make it easy to transfer the boiled-down sap into a finishing container without spilling any liquid. I love it. It would be great if there was a deep pan that could be baked in a toaster oven with convection. In the past, 13 x 9 pans would never fit inside a convection toaster oven, but now it fits perfectly and works well to fit long pans. It's hard to find a good baking / roasting pan that fits a toaster oven from other manufacturers. There is an urgent need for Vollrath to make this or a similar sized pan more mainstream, perhaps at a slightly lower price, so that it can be used in countertop convection ovens available.
You can bake meats as well as any kind of food in the oven with this mix. I was pleasantly surprised by the arrival time and the quality of the food.
Buying this pan to use for easy clean roasting. I'll use this weight as long as it's good.
