This paper did not get used, and I received it There was an error in the paper I ordered. It was supposed to be 18"x225'. It is not as advertised, as you can see in the photo. I cannot even see where 17" wide fits in the range of sizes readily available. If you cannot accurately describe your product, then do not This will not be my last purchase from that seller.
Wrapping ribs, brisket, and pork butts in peach paper instead of foil to finish off a cook has become my new favorite. It is fairly regular that I use with a pellet grill. I love it!.
I used this butcher paper to wrap a pork shoulder I was slow smoking and was unable to wrap the food properly because the batch I got was a bad batch or this manufacturer just makes terrible products. I went to fold the sides, but the bottom completely disintegrated once I put the pork on the paper. It did not take long for this paper to turn to mush once the liquid was added. In addition, the 18 inch size is too small. I should have gotten a larger.
As I have mentioned before, I have used this a few times for wrapping meats a few hours after they have been in the smoker in order to finish them without direct heat or It is a nice, durable paper that is inexpensive yet provides plenty of uses. If you have never tried it while smoking, give it a try. Briskets and larger cuts of meat do well in this.
Foil can never be a good choice.
Smokers should be used with butcher paper to keep the meat from drying out. I read reviews encouraging smokers to use it. Only once have I used it, but I was pleased with the outcome. It will always be my preferred method for smoking meat from now on.
Previously, I only used butcher paper, which is a brown color. As apparent when viewing the paper through some light it seems the peach paper might not be as dense as the white paper, allowing more steam to escape and air to pass Originally I ordered 50' for under $12, but after ordering I realized they had other lengths and sizes. It would have been $4 more if we'd had 175'.
As a result, I like the paper very much and have used it several times. I will buy from this seller again.
