Since installing the 'new' filters, I wasn't able to get water flow from The water was run for 20 minutes, as recommended, to ensure that the supposed new filters are thoroughly cleaned. 20 minutes later, I was just getting very faint drips and drips of water from Is that true? In other words, I continued to run the dripping water for another twenty I noticed that there is virtually no pressure at the faucet as well! As soon as I removed these 'new' filters and reinserted the old ones, the water pressure was back to normal. In order to make sure the water pressure is not impacted, I checked all the hoses to and from the filters. There were no tight bends, kinks or anything that could cut the water flow. I then reinstalled the 'new' filters, and the water pressure was near zero In order to figure out what the problem is, I swapped the old filters one by one for each 'new' filter. There is no more access to this filter, which was the largest of the three. My Whirlpool technician said I needed a new larger filter from Lowes because the other one was blocked or a reject. So I bought a new large filter from Lowes and the problem was solved. My water is now flowing in full! This seller is not worth your money, so do not buy from them! Filters that are either used or defective / rejects are being offered by him!.

Comes with a brand new battery as well. It is noted in some of the reviews that the seller should not be trusted. To find out if their filters can be purchased directly through Whirlpool, I visited their website. In my case, it was the Dual Purpose filters. I scrolled down to the section about where to purchase them. My search led me to this site after finding a link on the Amazon page that took me directly here.

When the filters arrived they were packaged in a nice Whirlpool retail box. These filters were covered with clear plastic caps to cover the ends of the connectors with color coding. There was no individual packaging for the filters. It was easy to remove the old filters and screw in the new ones following the instructions that came with the system. It appeared there might have been a little bit of water leakage during the exchange process, but no leakage occurred afterwards. In addition, I let 10 gallons of water run through the filter to remove the charcoal fines as directed. In any case, 10 gallons tends to take a long time to drink. The water that flows out of the tap is crystal clear, smelling and tasting just as it should and is crystal clear after it was run through so many filters. An extra battery for the cycle timer was also included in the package. Seeing this was something I didn't expect, so it was nice to be surprised.

Filters of this type don't appear to be new. Despite being dirty and smelling, the water was extremely foul. My filtering water was considerably better than the drinking water I was using. Unless I knew that they were doing it right, I would not trust the water that came out of these filters. Chemicals were smelling in the air and the air was very cloudy. It took hours for them to clear even when I ran water through them. To date, I have not received my refund and don't expect to get it. In the first purchase, I ordered replacements for both, but now my refund amount was listed as 0, so it appears I took $57 for nothing.

On 5/19, the new replacements were installed. A large amount of water was found on the floor under the purifier on 5/28. A brief inspection of the replacement filter number 1 revealed that it has begun to leak for some reason. It seems like there is a small leak coming from In fact, this is the second time in two years that I have had this same issue with this purifier. When I changed the filters for the initial filter installed unit, the number 1 filter would not seal, so I had to take the unit out of service. In my contact with Whirlpool, they told me there was an issue with the unit itself, and that it was now repaired. I have only changed filters on the unit twice since it was installed, and I do not believe the filter should have worn so much as to leak. I have yet to see any signs of wear. Due to a holiday weekend, I have not been in touch with Whirlpool yet. I'll contact them as soon as possible, however. As a result, I am very disappointed with the unit's reliability. It should last more than one or two filter changes for the cost of the unit.

The plastic head was defective. The filter change out worked well. The O-rings were inspected as well. Rings seem to be fine as other customers have stated. Lube on both ends, no issues A filter set up with clean water is the only filter that has been shown to remove chemicals in the water as well as pharmaceuticals, which are high risks associated with medications, and can't be removed by filters used at treatment plants. Tested output periodically over two years, and it passed after testing for most of that time, so figured it was time to switch out since the instructions state to switch out every six months. **Downgraded to a 3 star rating This unit is defective, with parts that leak over time, and a mount/head that does not last. There are caps for the valves around the filters, and they give way over time. It started leaking several of the filter valve caps, not just one, but several of the filters, which normally have 65 psi of water pressure and do not have a pressure reducer. Upon calling Whirlpool, the company did say that there was a warranty for replacing the mount assembly, but it had expired. I didn't speak with anyone, I just got a website, I paid around $20 for the part. ALASKA is automatically $30, but it posts the price for shipping of $00, but not shipping to Alaska. Mississippi is the home of the distribution center for the parts. Responding to an email, Whirlpool said that ALL parts are shipped at worst case costs. Please take note In the past, the caps were attempted to be repaired without success.
The plastic head and mount are not reliable, and leaks have been reported by many customers. Damage occurs under your sink as a result of this. Customer is advised to place a small tray under this unit and an alarm in the tray to determine if there is a leak.

RO filters have been my go-to for a long time. There was a lot of wasted water, the installation took a long time, and it took up a lot of space While I don't have the means to test this filter, if it performs as well as I'd like, it says it's the perfect one It is difficult to find power in Texas due to the state's unstable power grid. Our power goes out about twice a year and we get a boil order afterwards. We had this installed during the Snowpocalype and did not boil our water ( do this at your own risk) instead we use a filter to catch snow particles. There was nothing to worry about. As part of the first change of the filters, I used these filters for the first time. The process is surprisingly simple. You have a huge fan in me!.
