Japanese engineers designed and built the whole system. People have been buying knock-off versions of the filter because it is expensive Made in Korea knock-offs. Though they work fine, they are not as pure as the real deal.
There is no way this fits. Since I've seen that machine long ago, I'm guessing it has been discontinued. If I recall properly, that machine should have been the HG filter.
Your previous filter may need to be checked. The center nipple of the item has two holes, meaning it is not compatible with your machine. You need the HG-C639 model. There are filter types N and O. I appreciate your help.
In short, yes, it is an effective alternative to Enagic filters which are twice the cost. An older machine, now 10 years old, is in my possession. My application went through at Enagic just now. Ten years after its installation, the pump failed.
