Yes, I believe so. When I compared the two, they appeared to be nearly identical. Both of them have the same sensation. However, there are no identifying markings on the element or plastic filter housing that came with my recently purchased Dewalt D55168 225 psi air compressor. The Solberg filter element is marked "Made in USA" and bears an embossed patent number. Furthermore, using the Solberg element resulted in a 20-second reduction in recovery time. This means the Solberg element is less constrained. I'm surprised Dewalt's Quality Control Department would approve such a change. Someone is shirking their responsibilities. Replace the cheap plastic OEM filter housing with a genuine Solberg one and use a genuine Solberg element. br>br>In addition, the original component's filter housing disintegrated during use, resulting in the element and cover falling to the ground. Dewalt's decision to use a low-cost knock-off is surprising. off.
The air filter on my California air tools air compressor's inlet air filter was the correct size replacement. They wanted to sell me the entire enclosure, so I was relieved to discover this dter substitute. This is for air compressors with a 1/4 npt inlet that have a lower power rating.
In my Dewalt D55146 air compressor, I needed to change the filter cartridge. The original Dewalt replacement (Part D24322) is outrageously priced at around $15 for such a small filter. Then I came across this Solberg 04 filter and did some comparison shopping - The height and bottom width are identical; the top width (with the lip) on the Dewalt is slightly wider (by about 1/16 inch - see image). see pic). br>br>The Solberg fit into the filter casing perfectly. When you close the case, the lip compresses, creating a tight seal that prevents leaks. I'm relieved to have discovered a replacement that is reasonably priced.
