During the bitterly cold winter, the camper's housing began to crack. I was a fool for not properly winterizing it! We were able to find a "name brand" replacement on Amazon and other online retailers, but the cheapest price was $50! Thank you, but no thanks. Make sure you know what size ports you need with your water lines before buying this Hydronix, which was a perfect replacement for less than half the price! If you're unfamiliar with plumbing and pipes, this can be difficult to figure out. I'm not sure how well this would work with metal fittings, but I'm sure it would. Please keep in mind that ours came in an Amazon box. There is no additional packaging. Some people may be put off by this, but we didn't mind because it worked perfectly for us. It comes highly recommended from us!.
It was precisely what my motorhome required. I didn't have to worry about it because the old hardware fit perfectly on this filter.
