Questions & Answers

Is it possible to install this on a bathroom sink faucet?

The type of bathroom faucet you have will determine how long it will last.

Is there a distinction between this and another (Brita On Tap Faucet Water Filter System, White)?

Is the filter replacement number for this particular 35214 model the same for all of them?

Is it possible to run hot or cold water through this?

To get the best results, follow the manufacturer's instructions: Only use cold water when using this product. Running hot water through the filter (above 100 degrees F / 38 degrees C) can damage it. When you need hot water, bypass the filter; when using the filter, only run water from the COLD side.

Is the filtered water a single strain or a combination of strains?

a single stream of data In comparison to the current model, the older (and better) model had multiple strains with regular stream and filtered water, as well as an easier filter release.

The knob that allows you to switch from plain tap water to filtered water
5/5

It's difficult to change from tap water to filtered water because the knob is so small. The water also comes out in a slow stream when using straight tap water. I'm going to get rid of this when it's time to change the filter. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After I posted this, I received a message from Brita, asking me to contact them and providing me with a reference number. When I called and gave my phone number, the customer service representative asked for the address where the new water filter should be sent. They didn't ask what was wrong or anything; all they wanted to do was fix it. The new filter arrived today, and the knob is in excellent working order, with good straight water flow. Anything can go wrong, but how people react is what separates the winners from the losers. This is now a 5 out of 5! Star.

I was extremely dissatisfied with this system and would never recommend it to anyone
3/5

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others about this system. br>br>I purchased this system from a hardware store, and it worked for about a year before leaking at the faucet connection. I bought it on Amazon, thinking I'd be able to just replace the base unit and keep using the replacement filters I already had. I got the new unit today and put it in. With any water pressure, the new unit ejects the filters. The button that is supposed to release the filter is obviously broken. As a result, I now have two of these units, each with its own set of issues. br>br>I was extremely dissatisfied with this system, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

This isn't worth it; just get the Pitcher System
3/5

I took this baby out of the box, slapped it on my kitchen faucet, and let it run for about 5 minutes to clean out the filter, as the instructions suggested. I have a total dissolvable solids meter, so I was able to test my water both before and after installing this filter. My TDS level was 147 before I added the faucet filter. The filtered water's TDS was 142 at the end of the day. TDS is reduced to 42 by using my Brita pitcher/filter system. br>br>A drop of 5 points in TDS is insignificant and meaningless. Spend your money on the pitcher system instead of this one. It is more efficient and effective at cleaning the water. It's all a ruse.

BRITA FILTER - A BRITA FILTER is a type of filter that is In ten minutes, you'll go from disappointment to fulfillment! This is the third day
4/5

The 19th of March, 2018 has arrived. Three days ago, we installed this product. I was initially let down. The filter would pop out, causing water to spray everywhere, as some people have complained. Brita, like some of their competitors, is a well-known brand that has been around for a long time. I don't believe they'd produce subpar goods. Is it possible that the item is faulty? It can happen in even the most loving of households. br>br>So I took the unit apart and reinstalled it, making sure it was level with the water spout threads and firmly tightening it. So far, there have been no issues. br>br>Out of curiosity, I looked into these complaints further and discovered that the majority of the time, the problems arise because the installation was not done correctly – no matter how careful we are! Another significant finding was that in 'filter mode,' the water pressure should be set to medium or low, rather than full. It not only avoids the aforementioned issues, but it also allows the activated carbon to perform better, resulting in a better filtering experience. br>br>I am not an expert on water quality, but we do know that it meets EPA and appropriate NSF standards. br>br>From personal experience, I can say unequivocally that the water's taste and smell, which had previously been quite poor in my area, have drastically improved. Drinking tap water was, to put it mildly, a challenge until now. The bad taste and odor of the water, on the other hand, are simply gone once it has been filtered. This product clearly does what it claims to do. br>br>UPDATE: Today is April 4th, and we've been using this Brita Faucet Filter for a little over two weeks with no issues. We had to uninstall the filter because we are renovating our kitchen, but there were no issues when we reinstalled it two days later. We had a small leak on the first try, but all I had to do was loosen it slightly and tighten it again, and the problem was solved. A short-term fix. AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXAMPLE OF AN EXAMPLE OF AN EX As previously mentioned, due to kitchen renovations, we were without running water for two days. We had a couple of Brita-type drinks. We kept filtered water in the fridge and purchased bottled water in case we needed it. Unbeknownst to me, we had used up all of the Brita-type products that we had on hand. water that has been purified A glass of store-bought wine was brought to me by my wife. I immediately noticed a difference after purchasing bottled water. "This water tastes different than the one I drank earlier," I explained to my wife. That's when I realized we'd run out of the Brita-filtered tap water, so I was drinking bottled water.

People who gave it one star made me laugh out loud
5/5

People who gave it one star made me laugh out loud. Clearly at the bottom of the IQ scale. The filters are only good for about two weeks. It will need to be replaced after three months of heavy use, as it is not designed to last indefinitely. DO NOT run hot water through it, as stated in the instructions. It's intended for use with cold water. Adapters are included with it. When the filter dies (and the water tastes terrible again), I find it just as cost-effective to replace the entire unit, especially because I have filthy kids. The key to making it work properly is proper installation. If you're not good at putting things together, this could be a good option for you.

After 2 months, it breaks, and it's worthless plastic garbage
3/5

Brita's pitchers are one of my favorites, and I've had one on my counter for years. This faucet filter, on the other hand, is a complete piece of garbage. I received it on June 9th, and it's now August 27th, and it's completely broken. As you can see in the photos, water pours out of every crack and hole. I'm curious if this is designed to break in order for you to keep buying them. Making a essentially disposable plastic sink filter is bad for the environment. Brita should be ashamed of herself for doing this. It's a waste of money and plastic to use this filter. EDIT: br>br> I've never used this with hot water. I'm very careful to follow all of the usage and installation instructions. It's simply not constructed to last.
