A bracket with a great deal more length is preferred with a 15" overhang.
The Amazon reviews for this 3rd generation product seem to be quite positive. These were said to be great by some. Some have described them as flimsy (1) These are the thinnest I've ever seen. I thought they were kind of cheap looking, (2) they were flimsy, and I should have found a Heavy Duty version, (3) the person who is doing my kitchen remodel arrived Monday to see the support brackets. If I send you a return shipping label, and 4) I do not expect these to arrive intact. Therefore, I looked at the manufacturer's website and determined that 3/16-inch braces will work. That is what the braces that they use themselves There is no other reason they offer the Heavy Duty version besides to satisfy some additional customer service Today the braces arrived in best condition, with each brace looking unused. A brace of three sixteenths of an inch thick supports 150 pounds. The distance between the braces is 20 inches, which is enough to support the overhang of a granite countertop or quartz countertop. Each brace will only be able to support 42 pounds, as the weight per square foot is only 20 You can watch a video on the FastCap website with a man supported by these supports standing on and jumping off of an overhang. There is a lot to like about this product at a reasonable price. There is no point in believing other reviews.
This was used to support a live edge wooden slab, and it worked even better than I had expected - no sag from them. In addition to the 1, I added another. My slab only extends out about 20 inches on one side, and I was concerned about the leverage that can come from leaning heavily on that point. I installed a 5" aluminum "L" bracket underneath the short side (opposite) of the slab to protect it. Packaging was the only thing that kept me from giving these 5 stars. I find this product to be too heavy to fit in I brought the package in from the front porch and noticed that one end of the box was torn. The brackets fell out and landed on my wood floor.
There was no content in the box since it was.
It's a style bracket I use on a lot of islands that I build, and these are the thinnest ones that I've found. This is a pretty poor quality video.

Despite the fact that I emailed them and told them I had an 18" bar top that was to be mounted on a couple of 2x4 walls, they assured me the 16" would work. However, they did not and I had to trim an inch off of them. It would have been easier for you to see the braces if they were in full view. Additionally, the HD should always be ordered, since they were flimsy.
After installation, the brackets can flex even with the pressure applied by your finger let alone that of On a 2 x 6 wall, the brackets were installed with only 10" of overhang. Can someone please tell me how much 300 pounds per pair is? You can't come close to it! What a disaster! The granite installers will have to come back after I find new brackets at a cost of $300. Not only did I spend $150 on 10 useless brackets, but now I have to have them come back after I find new brackets at a cost of $300. NO! I'm not happy right now.
