Due to the drill point, I suspect that they are made from one of the stainless steel alloys typically found in knife blades. I think 410 would be a good guess.

Magnetic and rusty, 410 stainless has a bit of a rust smell

We're not dealing with 304 or 316 steels here. After 24 hours outside, you can see that the threads are starting to rust. So that should be considered. It didn't cross my mind when I saw "stainless". I probably would not need to use these near salt water, but it might be fine for my vinyl fence. A 410 stainless steel wire is not the same as a 304 or 316 steel wire. There is a little rust on it. As well as being magnetic, it is also conductive.

Screws that are quite nice and have a non-marring head The finish of the wood is shiny. There are stainless steel pieces I've purchased that have a similar finish, and they were said to be harder than regular stainless steel The product makes no such claim, but it does look like it can fit into the family of higher quality stainless steel.

Stainless steel gutter guards are being installed as part of the project. It wasn't necessary for me to use the gutter guards that came with the roof. As I look at it, it is rusted. These were on Amazon and I was glad to find them. To find out where to get lumber, I go to a The amount I needed was not on hand. Compare this price with one from another vendor on line. Chenango Supply sells these steel self tappers for a crazy price. My order was for two boxes in the future, and I will buy more in One screw was dropped while installing the gutter guard, and I was unable to I love it. It's a nice positive drive in metal with no problems.
