A galvanized surface protects them
In my experience, these have worked very well in nailers that are made for use with 28 degree wire-welded nails. My nailer did not work as well with these, but I still like the way they worked in mine.

As I built a 6' redwood privacy fence, I drove over 3,500 nails without a jam. Now I find it difficult to get hold of wire welding nails There are a lot of paper and plastic items and they're all angled differently. It took me a little longer to determine if the product would be a match since the picture is just a generic one however, the product was exactly what I expected. Due to the fact that I had only used clipped heads in my gun, I also had concerns about jams with the full-size (offset) heads. However, there are no problems at all.
These nails did the job perfectly. During the rebuilding of my fence gates, I used some 2 and 3 8-inch nails that I had from Lowes, but they were just a little longer than they should have been and they cost $72 (even Anyhow, the nails were perfect for my pneumatic nail gun and worked great. It would have been better if I had first gone to Amazon.
The clipped head nails for my Bostitch Framing nailer that is over 15 years old were nowhere to be found. As a result of Hurricane Florance, hundreds of fence boards were replaced with these.
There is one box that looked like it was made of something. The bolts hold things together just fine. I got one box with loose internal loads on my bostitch nailer, so I had to slightly torque the entire assembly to fix it. These methods did work, however.
A good price and a good.
It is of excellent framing size.
I was able to fit it onto my Bostitch nail gun perfectly. It appears that the 28° nails are being phased out and I was unable to find them in any Tulsa stores. They are galvanized so they will not leave any black streaks on the wood fence.
However, I used the nailer even though it says minimum 2 3/8" even in my older blue harbor freight 28 degree nailer (97513). It saved me a lot of time and effort to attach fencing to posts with these.
