It is likely that they will work but they are smooth rather than It is probably cheaper to use a framing gun and short framing nails since the framing gun can hold much more than 25 nails and the nails are more expensive. Framing guns have clips that hold up to 50 nails, whereas framing nails have only 25 clips. Here's some information that you may find helpful
