I used these quick disconnect terminals with 12 gauge stranded wire and was unable to get a good tight crimp connection that did not easily come apart, despite increasing the compression setting on the crimp tool. Instead, I went to Ace Hardware and bought a box of 50 quick disconnects. The crimps held very tight when I used the alternate crimp connectors with the same stranded wire and crimping tool (Titan Tools 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper). Based on my personal experience, I can't say that these worked particularly well for me.
When compared to name-brand electronics from a distributor, the metal in these is very flexible. You'll need to use the crimp tool's blue or red section to crimp these. Even so, don't use these in applications where the wire will be tugged, as they aren't up to the task.
Every day, I deal with automobile audio. It's very useful, and I like that it's designed for 10 gauge wire, which is what I use for all of my speaker and subwoofer work.
