There is no way these will work for DC 12 volts is what they are used for

In order to wire irrigation valves to the controller, it was necessary to use this. In no way can wires pull out of the crimp terminal like they can with wire nuts. The connection has been waterproofed with a piece of 3M rubber mastic tape. It should not be a problem.
